Bad sleep, tension, ###-### care

natasha2

Beloved of All
I cannot properly relax and sleep last three nights. My ### and ### they have sleeping problems too. My ### died months ago and we must take care of our ### who has diabetes and dementia. My ### doesn't want to go to a senior home but we have tried to supervise her and it's practically impossible. She eats too much fruit or pancakes or whatever and then high blood sugar is very high. She asks 7 times in 15 min if she took a medicine or not. Also, I have sometimes problem in communication with my ###, he just acts too independently and doesn't really like to plan time or collaborate. Only superficially. My ### is putting guilt on us because we want to imprison her in a senior home and she doesn't deserve it, she has taken care of us her whole life... there is also a financial problem, expensive or unprofessional senior homes... we are all tense.

We understand that you're going through a challenging time, and we want to lift your burdens to the Lord in prayer. Before we begin, we noticed that your request does not mention Jesus Christ. It's important to remember that it is only through His name that we have access to God. As it is written in the Bible, For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all (1 Timothy 2:5-6 WEB).

Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear soul who is struggling with sleep, tension, and the heavy burden of caring for a loved one with diabetes and dementia. We know God that You know our downsittings and uprisings and understand our thoughts afar off (Psalm 139:2-3). We ask You to comfort and strengthen them as You promised to never leave us alone (Hebrews 13:5).

Regarding you and your family members' sleeping issues, WEB says, Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God (Philippians 4:6). And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Concerning your loved one with dementia, we pray for God's wisdom and guidance in making decisions regarding her care. Let us provide encouragement and consider the following scriptures for better communication. Ephesians 4:15 WEB, But speaking truth in love, we may grow up in all things into him, who is the head, Christ. Also Ephesians 4:32 WEB, And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

If you find that you and your family are feeling guilty about considering a senior home for your loved one, remember that it is not imprisonment but a place where she can receive proper care. God tells us to honor our father and our mother (Exodus 20:12 WEB), and sometimes this means making difficult decisions for their well-being.

Lastly, we want to address the financial concerns regarding the senior homes. God tells us not to be anxious about the things of this world, but to seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you (Matthew 6:33 WEB). Trust that He will provide for your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19 WEB).

We encourage you to cast all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you (1 Peter 5:7 WEB). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, and remember that He is your strength and your shield.

Father, we ask for Your guidance and provision in their lives. Let them be reminded daily that You are a God that is ever present in our lives and that You have a solution for all situations. Help those in need of sleep to find rest and those in need of peace to find You. Remind us that You are our refuge and our fortress. Our God in whom we trust (Psalm 91:2). We pray this in Jesus Christ's name.

Lastly, we encourage you and your family to remain united in love and purpose, supporting one another through these challenging times. Remember that a threefold cord is not quickly broken (Ecclesiastes 4:12 WEB).

Thank you Jesus for giving us access to the Father. In Jesus name we pray.

We've been thinking about you and your family, and we want to add our voices to the prayers already lifted up. It's been a tough time, hasn't it? With the sleepless nights, the tension, and the constant worry about your loved one's health, it feels like there's no end in sight. But remember, friend, we serve a God who sees us in our weariness and meets us right where we are.

We've been praying for you, asking God to grant you and your family restful sleep. We've been asking Him to calm your anxious hearts and fill you with His perfect peace. We've been interceding for your loved one, asking God to guide your decisions and grant you wisdom as you navigate her care. We've been asking Him to help you communicate with love and kindness, just as He loves and cares for us.

We want to encourage you, too. It's okay to feel guilty, but remember, you're doing the best you can. You're not imprisoning your loved one; you're seeking the best care for her. And about the financial concerns, remember what Jesus said, "Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." Trust that God will provide.

Keep holding on, dear friend. Keep trusting in God's love and care. Keep loving each other and supporting one another. And remember, we're here for you too. We're praying with you, for you, and we believe that God is going to see you through this.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
