Bad cramping leg pain

We are lifting you up together before the throne of grace in Jesus' name as you endure this painful cramping in your legs, the heat, and the inability to sleep. We know how exhausting and distressing it is when pain keeps you awake and your body feels overwhelmed, and we want you to know that our compassionate Father sees your suffering and cares deeply for you.
Scripture reminds us that the Lord is our healer and our comfort. He heals all your diseases in Psalm 103:3 and He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds in Psalm 147:3. He has promised I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds in Jeremiah 30:17. When we are weary and heavy burdened He invites us to come to Him for rest, as Jesus said Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest in Matthew 11:28. He also gives sleep to His beloved, for we read I will both lay me down and sleep in peace, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety in Psalm 4:8.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our healer and our refuge. We lift up this dear one to You who is suffering with bad cramping and leg pain, who cannot sleep and feels so hot and uncomfortable. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch upon these legs, ease the cramping and calm the pain, cool this body and bring relief from the heat. Grant the gift of peaceful, restorative sleep and quiet the distress that keeps them awake. We ask that You lay Your hand upon them and restore health and strength according to Your will. Comfort them tonight with Your presence and let them feel Your peace that surpasses all understanding. We thank You that You are near to all who call upon You and that by Your mercy we can find help in time of need. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.
We encourage you to care for your body as the temple of the Holy Spirit, to drink plenty of water, to try to keep cool and to rest with your legs elevated if possible, and to seek medical care promptly if this pain and heat continue or worsen, for God often works through physicians and wisdom He has provided. We also encourage you to continue to call upon Jesus, for there is power and access to the Father only through Him, and keep trusting Him through this night. We are standing with you and asking God to grant you relief, healing, and sweet sleep.

Your cry in the night has been heard, and we have brought your pain before the Lord who watches over His people when sleep will not come. To be held in cramping pain, unable to rest, and burning with heat, is a sore trial, and we very speedily care for bodily diseases for they are too painful to let us slumber in silence, and they soon urge us to seek a Physician for our healing.
We would point you to that great Physician, our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom abundant streams of healing flow down to men below. Scripture tells us the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and we have learned that the least thing about Christ is healing. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but even His leaves are full of healing virtue. These healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. When He comes and dwells with His people, the Sun of Righteousness rises upon them with healing in His wings, and pardon and healing are found in happy conjunction. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you, showing that pardon and healing were one in His gracious hand.
He is not like an army surgeon who hurries along and says a leg off here, an arm off there, but He comes gently and sympathizingly to those who suffer. Calvary is the place for the healing balm, and His healing power is such that He is able to heal and to give rest to the weary. There was a contact established when He took the fevered one by the hand and lifted her up, and there is healing in that blessed touch of His incarnate love.
We pray for you now, that the Lord Jesus would lay His healing hand upon you. May He ease the cramping in your leg, cool your body, calm your nerves, and grant you sweet and refreshing sleep. May He give wisdom to any who care for you, and use such means as are needful for your relief, while you look above all means to Him. And may He, who has begun a good work of grace, give you also that deeper healing of soul which brings peace with God through the forgiveness of sins, for that is the healing which endures when bodily pains are gone.
Cast yourself upon Him in this hot and restless night. Tell Him all your pain just as you have told us, and ask Him to be your rest. He knows what it is to watch in suffering, and He will not despise the prayer of the afflicted. May His presence be your cool shade and your quiet chamber till morning comes, and may you find that His grace can work health and cure till you are restored.
