backslider

[Ghuoland]

Please pray for my return to The LORD. Please pray for my deliverance from The Devil and my enemies; for their schemes to be exposed and fail. Please pray for healing for my backsliding and body. Please pray for my health. Please pray that God helps, protects, delivers, and provides for me through my trials. Please pray for my repentance and faith unto The Lord Jesus Christ and for my restoration unto Him and deliverance from any bondages or strongholds of my enemies.

We join with you in this cry for return and restoration and we thank God that you have turned your heart again toward the Lord Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is only through His name that we are saved.

The Lord sees your backsliding and your desire to repent and He invites you to return. He says, Return, you backsliding children, I will heal your backsliding. Jeremiah 3:22 and also I will heal their waywardness. I will love them freely; for my anger is turned away from him. Hosea 14:4. We cling to His promise that if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9. There is no bondage so deep and no distance so far that His blood cannot cleanse and restore.

We also hear your cry for deliverance from the devil and from the schemes of your enemies. Scripture tells us Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. James 4:7-8. We are reminded that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12. Therefore we put on the whole armor of God that we may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Ephesians 6:11. We pray that every hidden scheme against you would be exposed and brought to nothing, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5.

We lift up your body and your health before the Lord who is our healer. He forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases. Psalm 103:3 and The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Psalm 34:17. We ask Him to heal you both spiritually and physically, to strengthen you in your trials and to be your protector and provider.

We pray together now.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace on behalf of this dear one who confesses backsliding and longs to return to You. We ask for true repentance and living faith in Jesus Christ. Wash away all sin with the blood of the Lamb, cleanse from all unrighteousness, and restore to fellowship with You. Heal the backsliding and break every bondage and stronghold of the enemy. We resist the devil on this soul's behalf and ask that You cause him to flee. Expose every scheme of the enemy and of those who would do harm, and cause every plan to fail. Place Your hand of protection around this life, deliver from evil, and provide for every need according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19. Bring healing to the body, restore health and strength, and sustain through every trial. Draw this heart near to You and draw near in return, that there may be full restoration, peace, and joy in Your presence. We trust Your promise, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10. Let this one walk in newness of life, guarded by Your power and established in faith. We ask all this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We appreciated your honesty in asking to come back to the Lord. It takes humility to name backsliding and to ask for repentance, faith and freedom from what has held you, and we thank God you are reaching out.

We want you to know we are standing with you as you seek restoration. In our experience that return is often less a single moment and more a steady walk of turning toward Christ again each day, with His help, in community. Trying to fight alone can leave you exhausted, which is why walking with one or two mature believers matters so much.

A simple next step that helps many is to ask a trusted pastor or small group leader to meet with you regularly for prayer and honest conversation. You do not need to have everything figured out to begin, just a willingness to show up and let others support you as you seek the Lord.

As you mentioned health and healing for your body, we will keep praying for you, and we also encourage you to see a healthcare professional for any ongoing symptoms, alongside prayer.

Father, we lift our brother before You in the name of Jesus. Grant him true repentance and renewed faith, cover him with Your protection, provide for his needs, and lead him step by step out of bondage into freedom and restoration with You. Amen.

Your honest cry has been heard and we carry it with you to the throne of grace, beseeching the Lord who has said, I will heal their backsliding.

We pray that God will grant you not a carnal repentance which is of the flesh and gives no glory to God and leads to no lasting deliverance from sin, but that holy, healthy, heavenly repentance which is worked in the renewed heart by the Holy Spirit. True repentance gives God glory, it makes a rainbow with tears of grief for sin and glances of hope at the love of Christ and His great finished work. We ask that the Lord will give you repentance unto life, a practical repentance that yields works meet for repentance and that lasts, and that He will give you with it that inseparable grace of faith which looks out of self to Christ and to Christ only. For repentance and remission of sins are preached in His name, and where there is true godly sorrow there is full and free forgiveness through Jesus Christ alone. May you now sincerely close in with God's way of salvation and gladly seek deliverance from every sin.

We pray for your healing as the Lord has promised a fourfold healing to the backslider. That He would forgive all the sin of your backsliding, that He would release you from its power and break every bondage and stronghold of the enemy, that He would remove the temporal chastisement with which He has visited you, and that He would restore to you lost comfort and give you beauty for ashes and the oil of joy for mourning. There is abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ, whose very leaves are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing to the soul and we trust also mercy to the body. We entreat the Sun of Righteousness to rise upon you with healing beneath His wings, to heal your backsliding and to lay His hand upon your body, to grant you health and strength according to His wise and loving will.

We pray for your deliverance. You have been delivered from worse enemies than any earthly foe could be, and saved by a greater salvation than that which Barak wrought, even the deliverance wrought out by the Lord Jesus Christ. We ask that Jehovah with His hand and outstretched arm would bring you forth out of captivity, that He would protect you, help you and provide for you through all your trials, that He would expose the schemes of the devil and of those who seek your harm and cause them to fail, and that He would keep you in peace within His borders. He brought forth His people of old with silver and gold, and He is able to enrich you still with all spiritual blessings in Christ and to supply your temporal need.

May the Lord keep you from going back to the pitiless sea or to the winds for comfort, but cause you to trust Him who alone can work deliverance for you. We pray that repentance may live as long as faith in you, that you may find sweet sister repentance to be charming company all your days, and that burning indignation against sin may rise in you because it is committed against so holy, so good, so glorious a Being as the infinitely blessed God. May He create in you a clean heart and renew a right spirit within you, and bring you forth willingly to walk in His way.

We join our faith with yours that He who has begun a good work will perfect it, and that you may know conclusively that your backsliding is healed and your soul restored unto Him.

Heavenly Father, we ask in the name of Jesus Christ alone, through whom alone is salvation, that You would grant our brother true godly sorrow and faith unto the Lord Jesus Christ. Grant repentance that turns fully from sin and lays hold on Your forgiveness. Wash away the stain of backsliding and restore him to fellowship with You. Deliver him from the power of the devil and from every bondage and stronghold, and expose and bring to nothing every scheme of the enemy against him. We ask for Your protection, help, and provision through every trial, that You would supply what he needs and guard him. Touch his body and bring healing and health according to Your will, and heal above all his soul. Form Christ anew in him, and by Your Spirit establish him in steadfastness, in hearing Your Word, and in walking in Your ways. Keep him from returning to what harms him, and lead him into full restoration. Amen.
