Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for my return to The LORD. Please pray for my deliverance from The Devil and my enemies; for their schemes to be exposed and fail. Please pray for healing for my backsliding and body. Please pray for my health. Please pray that God helps, protects, delivers, and provides for me through my trials. Please pray for my repentance and faith unto The Lord Jesus Christ and for my restoration unto Him and deliverance from any bondages or strongholds of my enemies.

We hear your cry and we stand with you before the throne of grace, thanking God that you desire to return to Him. That very desire is evidence that His Spirit is drawing you back, for He does not cast away a repentant heart. We rejoice that you have named the Lord Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved, as it is written that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9.

The Lord speaks tenderly to backsliders. He says Return, you backsliding children, I will heal your backsliding Jeremiah 3:22 and I will heal their waywardness. I will love them freely; for my anger is turned away from him Hosea 14:4. We take comfort in this promise that God not only forgives but heals the heart that has wandered. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9. Therefore we encourage you to come honestly before Him in repentance, turning away from sin and turning again to Him, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord Acts 3:19. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you James 4:8.

We also rebuke the work of the devil and every scheme of the enemy against you. The Scripture warns us to put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil Ephesians 6:11 and to be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you James 4:7. We pray that every hidden scheme is exposed to the light and fails, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ 2 Corinthians 10:4-5. We ask the Lord to break every bondage and stronghold that has held you, to set you free indeed by the power of Jesus.

We lift up your body and your health to the Lord who is our healer. He forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases Psalm 103:3 and He promises For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17. We ask Him to heal both your spiritual backsliding and your physical infirmities, to strengthen you and restore you wholly.

We pray for your protection and provision through these trials. He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust Psalm 91:1-2. The angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them Psalm 34:7. And we trust His promise that My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19.

We pray together now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one who longs to return to You. We thank You for Your mercy that endures forever and for Your willingness to heal backsliding. We ask You to grant true repentance and living faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, to forgive and cleanse from all unrighteousness, and to restore fellowship with You. Expose every scheme of the devil and of enemies, cause their plans to fail, and deliver from every bondage and stronghold. Put Your hedge of protection around Your child, heal body and soul, restore health, and provide for every need through these trials. Help, protect, deliver and sustain through every difficulty, and lead into full restoration and joyful obedience. Let there be refreshing from Your presence and strength to walk closely with You from this day forward. We ask this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and deliverer. Amen.

We encourage you to remain in the Word daily, to pray continually, to forsake any sin that entangles, and to walk in fellowship with other believers who will strengthen your faith. Resist the devil by submitting to God, and trust that He who began a good work in you will be faithful to complete it as you abide in Christ.

We are grateful you reached out and named this so honestly. Wanting to return to the Lord after drifting, asking for repentance and faith, takes humility and we do not take it lightly.

We hear the weight you are carrying, the sense of being opposed and bound up, the weariness in your body and the trials pressing in. We want you to know you are not forgotten, and the desire you have to be restored is itself something God can work with as you turn back to Him one step at a time.

It can help to not walk this alone. If you have a pastor or a steady, mature believer you trust, consider inviting them in this week to pray with you regularly and to help you stay accountable as you seek the Lord. Meeting consistently, even briefly, often steadies the path more than trying to carry everything privately. And for the health needs you mentioned, we encourage you to keep bringing them to the Lord and also to check in with a trusted medical professional who can care for you well.

Father, we lift our friend to You in the name of Jesus. Grant true repentance and renewed faith, cover him with Your protection, break what binds him, and bring healing and restoration according to Your will. Provide for his needs and keep him close through these trials. Amen.

Let's give thanks that in the fires of life and from the depths of our anguish and pain we can pray prayers and worship God to receive his love and mercies. May he guide you into a favorable position in life one day. Only let us continue to pray and worship and wait and hold fast to our crown that no man may take it. The Lord has for us a crown of everlasting rightouness. A holy diadem. Prayers all the time and worship as often as possible. And give thanks all the time. May the love of the Lord abound in our hearts. In his name we pray amen.

Your honest cry has come before the Lord and before His people, and we join our hearts with yours in prayer to the God of all grace.

We thank God that you hate your backsliding and desire to return, for that hatred of sin and longing for Christ is itself a token of His work within you. There is a repentance that is of the flesh, a carnal sorrow that washes the outside and leaves the heart unrenewed, that gives no glory to God and brings no lasting deliverance. But there is a true repentance, a repentance unto life, which is the gift of God and is preached in the name of Jesus. It is wrought by the Holy Spirit, it gives glory to God, it makes a man weep and abhor his past life because of the love of Christ which has pardoned it, and it leads him to look out of self to Christ and to Christ only. Faith and repentance are inseparable. The repentance that ejects sin as an evil tenant and the faith which admits Christ to be the sole Master of the heart go together. One pulls down and the other builds up. We pray that the Lord will grant you this holy, healthy, heavenly repentance, that godly sorrow which needs not to be repented of, and with it a simple faith unto the Lord Jesus Christ who alone can save.

Hear the promise for such as you, I will heal their backsliding. What is this healing. It is forgiveness of its sin, and release from its power, and the taking away of temporal chastisement, and the restoration of lost comfort, beauty for ashes and the oil of joy for mourning. If you now sincerely close in with God's way of salvation in Christ and would gladly find deliverance from every sin, you may be assured you are one of those of whom He has spoken. Do not believe, O penitent wanderer, that His mercy is gone forever. Repentance lives as long as faith, and sweet sister Repentance is charming company all the way to glory. She makes a rainbow with her tears of grief for sin and her glances of hope at the love of Christ and His great finished work.

We pray also for your deliverance. We have been delivered from worse enemies than any earthly foe, and saved by a greater salvation. The Lord Jesus has wrought deliverance from sin, from Satan, from the arch enemy of our souls. As He brought Israel forth when the lamb was slain, not by their own power but by His hand and outstretched arm, so He alone can bring you forth out of bondage and strongholds. We ask that He would expose and bring to nothing every scheme of the devil and of those who would harm you, that He would shut the mouth of the accuser and give you songs of deliverance. Even the least thing about Christ is healing, the very leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, to change the life blood and make the nature new. May the Sun of Righteousness rise upon you with healing beneath His wings for soul and body.

Therefore we pray for you in the name of Jesus:

O most merciful Father, grant to this returning soul true repentance and remission of sins in the name of Christ. Forgive all backsliding, break its power, lift its chastisement, and restore the joy of Thy salvation. Create a clean heart and renew a right spirit within. Give faith to look to Jesus only, to trust His finished work, and to walk in works meet for repentance that shall last and be practical. Deliver from the devil and from every bondage, cause the snares of enemies to fail and be made manifest, and let no weapon formed against Thy child prosper. Lay Thy healing hand upon the body, restore health according to Thy wisdom and mercy, and sustain through every trial. Be Helper, Protector, Deliverer and Provider, and bring forth Thy servant with enrichment out of captivity, willing and yet wholly dependent upon free grace. Keep through this temporary state in Jesus until eternal bliss.

We encourage you to continue in daily repentance and faith, to avoid present sin because of the love of God who died for you, to seek the Lord in His Word and in prayer, and to walk in fellowship with His people. He who began a good work will perfect it. Cast yourself wholly upon Christ, for He will not cast you out.
