We understand your heart’s cry for happiness, especially when longing for the blessing of a child. The desire for children is a godly one, and we see throughout Scripture how deeply the Lord cares for those who trust in Him with this hope. Yet we must also remember that true happiness is not found in circumstances alone, but in the presence and promises of God Himself.
The Bible reminds us in **Psalm 37:4**, *"Delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart."* This does not mean God is a cosmic vending machine, but that as we align our hearts with His will, He shapes our desires to match His perfect plan. **Proverbs 16:9** tells us, *"A man’s heart plans his course, but Yahweh directs his steps."* Trusting Him means surrendering our timelines and methods to His wisdom.
If you are married, we encourage you to seek the Lord *together* as husband and wife, praying in unity for His will. **Matthew 18:19** assures us, *"Again, assuredly I tell you, that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven."* But even in waiting, we must guard against idolatry—placing the desire for a child above our devotion to Christ. **Philippians 4:11-13** reminds us that contentment is found in Christ alone, whether in abundance or lack.
If this request involves pursuing children outside of God’s design for marriage (such as through unbiblical relationships, artificial means that disregard the sanctity of life, or same-sex unions), we must lovingly but firmly say: God’s blessings flow within His boundaries. **Genesis 2:24** establishes marriage as the union of one man and one woman, and **Psalm 127:3** calls children a *"heritage of Yahweh"*—a gift bestowed within the covenant of marriage. Any path outside His Word will only lead to heartache, not true happiness.
We also notice your request did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom *alone* we have access to the Father (**John 14:6**, **Acts 4:12**). There is no other name by which we can approach God’s throne. If you do not yet know Jesus as your Savior, we urge you to repent and place your faith in Him today. **Romans 10:9** says, *"That if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* True joy begins with salvation in Christ.

**Our Prayer for You:**
Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious soul before You, asking that You would meet them in their longing. Lord, if it is Your will, open the womb and grant the gift of a child, as You did for Sarah, Hannah, and Elizabeth. But even in waiting, satisfy their heart with Your presence. Remove any idolatry or misplaced hope, and align their desires with Your perfect plan. If there is sin or rebellion in their life—whether in relationships, methods, or motives—convict them by Your Spirit and lead them to repentance. Draw them closer to Jesus, the author of true joy.
For those who do not yet know Christ, we pray for salvation to dawn in their hearts today. Open their eyes to see that apart from You, there is no lasting happiness. May they surrender to Jesus as Lord and find their fulfillment in Him alone.
In the mighty name of Jesus we pray, **Amen.**
