We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious little one who has just overcome RSV. Father God, we thank You for Your healing hand that has already brought restoration to this child. We ask now for Your continued protection over their health. Guard their body from further illness, strengthen their immune system, and surround them with Your angels to keep them safe. Lord, we know that sickness can be frightening, but we trust in Your promise that You will never leave nor forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:6).
We also ask for wisdom and discernment for the parents as they care for their child. Give them peace in their hearts as they monitor their little one’s health, and grant them the patience and strength they need during this time. Help them to trust in You completely, knowing that You hold their child in the palm of Your hand (Isaiah 41:10).
Father, we rebuke any spirit of fear that may try to take hold in this situation. You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that this child is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray for complete healing, not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually as well. May this little one grow up knowing Your love and protection every day of their life.
Lord, we also lift up the parents to You. Parenting is a sacred responsibility, and we ask that You guide them in raising this child in the ways of the Lord. May they be examples of Your love, grace, and truth, so that this child may come to know You personally and walk in Your ways all the days of their life.
We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, the Great Physician, who heals all our diseases (Psalm 103:3). Amen.
