Baby needs prayer

Please pray for my grandson and his mother and father. He is not eating and swallowing correctly. It is wearing on mom and dad trying to get sleep and take care of him Pray that Ear nose and throat specialist contacts immediately and they can move forward with gods guidance on next steps in care. Please watch over all of us as we go forward with caring for him. I pray for sleep for all. Especially baby. Please God, heal his body and let him grow to be a blessing to you and the world

We join you in lifting up your precious grandson and his mother and father before our Heavenly Father, and we share your concern for this little one who is struggling to eat and swallow. We know how heavy this burden feels, especially when sleep is broken and worry grows with each feeding. We stand with you seeking God's will together in Jesus' name for healing, wisdom, and rest for your whole family.

We are reminded that children are a gift from the Lord, as it is written Children are a heritage of Yahweh. The fruit of the womb is his reward. Psalm 127:3. He formed this baby with tender care, for you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother's womb. Psalm 139:13, and He loves him even more than we do. Jesus said, Allow the little children to come to me. Don't forbid them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to ones like these. Matthew 19:14. We also take comfort that God sees the weariness of this mother and father, and He invites the weary to find rest in Him, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28. We pray too for that sweet sleep you asked for, for He gives sleep to his beloved. Psalm 127:2, and we trust He will watch over this child day and night, for He who keeps you will not slumber. Psalm 121:3.

We notice your prayer was offered to God, and we gently want to encourage you that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and assurance of salvation. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. It is by believing in Jesus, that He died for our sins and rose again, and confessing Him as Lord, that we are saved and our prayers are heard. Romans 10:9. We pray this in His name because He is our mediator and our healer.

We pray together now for your grandson and your family.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You with this precious baby boy. We ask You to lay Your healing hand upon his little body. Lord, You know the difficulty he has with eating and swallowing, and we ask You to heal whatever is causing this struggle. We pray as You have promised, But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. Jeremiah 30:17. Guide the ear, nose and throat specialist and all who care for him, give them wisdom and discernment and cause that contact to happen without delay, that they may move forward with clear next steps according to Your guidance. Grant deep, peaceful, restorative sleep to this baby and to his mother and father and to you as his grandparent who loves him so dearly. Strengthen this mother and father when they are exhausted, renew them day by day, and surround this family with Your peace which surpasses all understanding. Philippians 4:7. Watch over all of you as you care for him, keep him in Your perfect care, and let him grow strong and healthy to be a blessing to You and to the world for Your glory. We ask all this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to cast all your worries on Him, because He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7. Keep pressing for that specialist appointment, keep recording what you see with his feedings to share with the doctors, and lean on each other and on the Lord for strength. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. Philippians 4:6. We are trusting with you that God is already at work, that He will provide wisdom for the next steps and bring healing and rest to this little one and to his parents.

We hear how heavy this has been for all of you, watching your little grandson struggle to eat and swallow and seeing his mom and dad worn so thin from broken sleep and constant worry. It is such a tender and exhausting place to be as grandparents, loving him so much and wanting to help while you wait for answers.

Waiting for the ENT specialist to call back is especially hard when every feeding feels important. We are glad you are pursuing that next step and we encourage you to stay in close contact with his pediatrician while you wait, sharing any changes you notice and bringing your questions ready for the specialist when they connect. Having a written list of questions and concerns can help make that appointment as useful as possible.

You are already carrying a lot for this young family just by praying and staying close. If you are able to be nearby, even practical help like taking a shift so mom and dad can rest, or helping with phone calls and notes, can make a real difference. Ongoing sleeplessness takes a toll on everyone physically and emotionally, and it is not a weakness to need extra hands and support during this season.

Father, we bring this precious baby boy before You and ask for Your healing touch on his little body, for help with eating and swallowing, and for clear wisdom for the ENT and every provider involved. Please grant restful sleep to the baby and to his parents and to his grandparents, and surround this family with Your peace and strength as they care for him day and night. In Jesus' name, amen.

We have received your earnest prayer for your dear grandson and for his mother and father, and we have carried it before the throne of grace with tender sympathy.

To watch a little infant struggle to eat and to swallow, and to see loving parents worn with broken nights and anxious days, is a trial that touches the heart deeply. The Lord knows the weariness of those who rise up early and sit up late, and who eat the bread of carefulness for the sake of a beloved child. We are reminded that there is a sleep which God gives to His beloved, not merely the closing of the eyes, but a sleep of contentment and of security under His watchful care. May He who neither slumbers nor sleeps grant such rest to this little one and to those who tend him, refreshing their bodies and quieting their spirits.

This precious babe is as helpless as the infant cast out in the open field, unable to plead for himself and utterly dependent upon the mercy of others. Yet how sweet to remember that the least things about Christ are full of healing virtue, for the leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations. Our great Physician has healing in His wings, and He is able to heal and to pardon, to restore the body and to keep the soul. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ, and we may come boldly to Him who has shown that where sin abounded grace did much more abound.

Let us pray together.

O Lord our God, Father of mercies, look in compassion upon this little child whom Thou hast made. Thou seest his struggle to receive nourishment, Thou knowest his frame and his need. Lay Thy healing hand upon him, we beseech Thee, and grant wisdom and promptness to those appointed to care for him. Move the heart and hand of the specialist, that contact may be made without delay and that right steps may be taken under Thy guidance. Give to his mother and father strength for each day and sleep in the night season, for Thou givest Thy beloved sleep. Watch over this whole family as they go forward in this care, keep them from fear, and sustain them by Thy grace. Above all, we pray that Thou wouldst heal his body according to Thy perfect will, and cause him to grow in health and stature, that his life may be spared to be a blessing unto Thee and to the world, and that in due time he may know the healing of his soul through faith in Jesus Christ our Lord, in whom alone is salvation. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus. Amen.

May the Lord keep you all in His peace, and may you find rest in knowing that this child and those who love him are held in the everlasting arms.
