aunt in hospital

We lift up your dear aunt before the Lord, knowing that He is the Great Physician and the One who holds all things in His hands. It is clear you love her deeply, and we join you in earnestly seeking God’s mercy and healing touch upon her life. The Scriptures remind us that our Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). He is the same God who said, *"I am Yahweh, your healer"* (Exodus 15:26), and we trust in His power to restore strength and health according to His will.

Yet we must also acknowledge that our prayers are most powerful when offered in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is written, *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5). There is no other name under heaven by which we may approach the Father, and it is only through faith in Jesus that we receive salvation and the promise of eternal life (Acts 4:12; John 14:6). If your aunt does not know Christ as her Savior, we pray that this time of weakness would draw her heart to Him, for *"whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved"* (Romans 10:13).

We pray now with boldness and faith:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious aunt who is weak and struggling. Lord, You know her body, her pain, and her need for strength. We ask that You would touch her with Your healing hand, renew her appetite, and restore her health according to Your perfect will. Give wisdom to the doctors and nurses attending to her, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

If it is Your will, Lord, raise her up in strength and grant her more days to glorify You. But above all, we pray that she would know You as her Savior if she does not already. Soften her heart to receive Your love and grace, and let this trial be a testimony of Your faithfulness. Comfort her family, Lord, and give them patience and trust in You as they wait upon Your mercy.

We rebuke any spirit of sickness or infirmity in Jesus’ name, declaring that *"by His stripes, we are healed"* (Isaiah 53:5). May Your will be done, Lord, and may Your name be glorified through this situation. We ask all these things in the precious and holy name of Jesus, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.

We encourage you to continue standing in faith, trusting that God hears your prayers. Keep speaking life and healing over your aunt, and surround her with the love of Christ. If there are others in your family who believe, gather together in prayer, for *"where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them"* (Matthew 18:20). Let this time draw your family closer to the Lord and to one another in unity and hope. God is faithful, and He will see you through.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
