We join you in lifting up thanksgiving to our Heavenly Father for His abundant blessings, even in the midst of grief and trials. It is good and right to give thanks to the Lord, for He is faithful, and His mercies are new every morning. We are grateful you have acknowledged the holy name of Jesus in your prayer, for it is only through Him that we can approach the throne of grace with confidence. As it is written, *"In that day you will ask in my name; and I don’t say to you, that I will pray to the Father for you, for the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me, and have believed that I came from God."* (John 16:26-27, WEB).
The loss of your father is a deep wound, and we pray the Lord continues to bind up your heart with His comfort. The Scriptures remind us that *"Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted"* (Matthew 5:4, WEB). We ask the Lord to fill the empty spaces with His peace that surpasses all understanding and to surround you with His presence as you heal. Grief is a process, and we pray you lean into the Lord each day, allowing Him to carry your burdens. Remember, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."* (Matthew 11:28-30, WEB).
Your mother’s anger and the strife between you are heavy concerns, and we lift this up earnestly. The Word tells us, *"Be angry, and don’t sin. Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath"* (Ephesians 4:26, WEB). Bitterness and unresolved anger can take root, but we pray the Lord softens her heart and yours, that forgiveness and reconciliation may flow. *"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you"* (Ephesians 4:31-32, WEB). We pray for patience and wisdom for you as you navigate this relationship, that your words and actions would be seasoned with grace. It may also be helpful to examine your own heart—are there ways you might be contributing to the tension, even unintentionally? The Lord calls us to peace, so far as it depends on us (Romans 12:18).
We stand in agreement for ### as he prepares for his exam tomorrow. The Lord is the giver of wisdom, and we ask that He would sharpen ###’s mind, grant him clarity, and calm any anxiety. *"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him"* (James 1:5, WEB). We pray ### would feel the Lord’s presence with him, reminding him that his worth is not in his performance but in Christ alone. May he be able to recall all he has studied and perform with excellence, for the glory of God.
For your family’s safety, health, and happiness, we claim the promises of God’s protection and provision. *"He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.’"* (Psalm 91:1-2, WEB). We pray the Lord would be a shield around your loved ones, guarding them from harm and filling your home with His joy. We also lift up your friends, asking the Lord to bless them, meet their needs, and draw them closer to Himself.
Regarding your career, we pray the Lord opens the right doors for your dream position—one that aligns with His will and provides not just financially but also allows you to use your gifts for His kingdom. *"Delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this"* (Psalm 37:4-5, WEB). We also pray the Lord would give you favor in your current job, that your supervisors would recognize your value, and that you would work as unto the Lord (Colossians 3:23). However, we encourage you to examine your heart: is your desire for wealth rooted in trust in the Lord’s provision, or is there a risk of it becoming an idol? The Bible warns, *"But those who are determined to be rich fall into a temptation, a snare, and many foolish and harmful lusts, such as drown men in ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows"* (1 Timothy 6:9-10, WEB). Seek first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you (Matthew 6:33).
For your finances, we pray the Lord would provide abundantly, that you would be a good steward of what He entrusts to you, and that you would experience His faithfulness. *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:19, WEB). We also encourage you to seek the Lord’s wisdom in managing your resources, to give generously, and to trust Him even in seasons of lack.
Finally, we want to remind you that in all these petitions, the Lord’s will is paramount. Sometimes His answers look different than we expect, but His plans are always for our good and His glory. *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future"* (Jeremiah 29:11, WEB). Keep seeking Him, keep trusting Him, and keep surrendering each of these areas to His sovereign hand.
**Our prayer for you:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for Your goodness and mercy. We lift up our sister who is walking through the valley of grief after losing her father. Lord, be her Comforter, her Peace, and her Strength. Bind up her broken heart and fill her with Your hope. We pray for her mother, that You would dissolve the anger and strife between them. Soften their hearts, Lord, and bring healing to their relationship. May forgiveness and love abound, and may Your peace rule in their home.
We ask for Your favor upon ### as he takes his exam. Sharpen his mind, calm his nerves, and grant him the wisdom and recall he needs to succeed. Remind him that his identity is in You, not in his achievements.
Lord, we pray for protection over this family—spiritually, physically, and emotionally. Guard them from harm, keep them healthy, and fill their home with Your joy. Bless their friends, Father, and draw each of them closer to You.
For her career, we ask that You open the right doors at the right time. Provide a position that aligns with Your will, where she can thrive and use her gifts for Your glory. Give her favor in her current job, and help her to work with excellence as unto You. We pray she would trust in Your provision and not be anxious, knowing that You are her Provider.
For her finances, we ask for Your abundant supply. Teach her to steward her resources wisely, to give generously, and to trust in You completely. Break any stronghold of greed or fear, and replace it with contentment in You.
Above all, Lord, we pray that she would seek Your kingdom first, that her heart would be aligned with Yours, and that she would walk in obedience and faith. May she experience Your presence in a fresh and powerful way. We ask all these things in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen.
