Attack my body for no reason.

We hear your frustration and we join with you in bringing this burden before the Lord, for we know how distressing it is to feel your own body under attack without understanding why, and to struggle with high blood pressure that brings worry and discomfort.

We want to remind you that your body is not your enemy, it is fearfully and wonderfully made and precious to God. We are told in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 that our body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in us, whom we have from God, and we are not our own, for we were bought with a price, therefore we glorify God in our body and in our spirit, which are His. God does not attack you for no reason or delight in your suffering. He is the One who heals and restores. As Psalm 103:3 says, He forgives all your iniquities and heals all your diseases, and in Jeremiah 30:17 He says, I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds.

We understand that feeling of not knowing where an attack comes from can be overwhelming and can itself raise anxiety and blood pressure. Scripture tells us that we do have a spiritual enemy, but we also have a God who is our refuge and strength. We do not need to live in fear of unknown attacks, for Isaiah 41:10 reminds us, Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. And Philippians 4:6-7 encourages us, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

We also want to encourage you with practical wisdom, for God often heals through both His supernatural power and through the wisdom He gives to physicians. High blood pressure should be taken seriously and we encourage you to continue to seek medical care, to steward your body with rest, with balanced nutrition, with reduced salt and caffeine where possible, with gentle exercise as you are able, and with casting your cares on Him, for He cares for you as 1 Peter 5:7 says. Do not carry this burden alone.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and to His healing and peace. There is no other name by which we can be saved and come boldly to His throne. As Acts 4:12 says, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. And John 14:6 says, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. To know His healing and His protection fully, we must first know Him as Savior, believing that He died for our sins and rose again, and confessing Him as Lord as Romans 10:9 teaches. If you have not yet placed your trust in Him, we encourage you to do so today, calling upon His name.

We now pray together for you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

Father, we come before You together in the name of Jesus and we lift up this dear one to You. You see this body that feels attacked and weary, You see the high blood pressure and the frustration and the fear of not knowing the cause. We ask in Jesus name that You would touch this body with Your healing hand, that You would calm this heart and regulate this blood pressure and bring peace to the nervous system. We rebuke any spirit of fear and torment and any attack of the enemy, and we ask You to cover this life with Your protection and Your perfect peace. Lord, give wisdom to doctors and clarity on any physical cause that needs treatment, and help this dear one to rest in Your care, knowing that You are Yahweh who heals. We pray for Your peace that surpasses understanding to guard this heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We ask that You would draw this dear one closer to Jesus, to know Him as Savior and Healer and Lord, and to trust Him more each day. We pray all these things according to Your will and in the saving and healing name of Jesus Christ, amen.

We can hear how discouraging this is, feeling like your body is under attack without knowing where it is coming from. It makes sense that you would feel worn down and that the worry about high blood pressure would feel heavy.

We are holding you in prayer right now, asking God to bring you peace and clarity as you seek answers.

One steady next step we encourage is to bring what you are experiencing, including your blood pressure concerns, to your primary care doctor or clinic soon if you have not already. They are best able to evaluate what is happening and guide you in care, and we will keep praying alongside whatever help they offer.

Living with unexplained physical strain can affect more than the body. It can leave you feeling vulnerable and on edge, and that alone makes everything harder to carry. Please know you are not forgotten in this. God sees you in this uncertainty and we are asking Him to steady you day by day.

Father, we lift our friend to You. You know the fear and frustration in not understanding what is happening in their body. We ask for Your comfort, for wisdom for their doctors, and for Your peace to guard their heart. Lead them to the right help and remind them they are held by You. In Jesus name, amen.

Your burden concerning your body has been heard, and your distress over this pressure of blood and this sense of being attacked without cause or explanation is not hidden from the Lord who sees all our frame.

It may seem ridiculous to you, and the more so because you cannot trace the source, but there is One who knows the spring of every pain. We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they are too painful to let us slumber in silence, and they soon urge us to seek a physician for our healing, and you do well to seek such lawful help as Providence has provided. Yet above the physician's skill there is a higher healing. The Scripture saith, the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. Not only His fruit is sweet and nourishing, but the leaves, the little things as it were about Christ, are full of healing virtue. These healing leaves change the life blood, affect the spirits and make the nature other than it was before.

Healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction in the gospel. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, thy sins are forgiven thee, and pardon and healing were one. The blood of Jesus speaks better things than the blood of Abel. Abel's blood cried for vengeance, but the blood of sprinkling, the precious blood once shed for many for the remission of sin, speaks for mercy, for pardon, for peace and for healing. When the Lord sees that blood He passes over, and where that blood is applied the soul and often the body finds rest. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation.

Tell the case to Jesus just as you would mention a physical case to a doctor. He is ready to hear it all and to consider it. Make a confidant of Jesus. Though you cannot tell where the attack comes from, He knows. Though the pressure rises and you cannot stay it, His hand can cool the fevered blood and lift up the bowed frame, for the power of the Lord was present to heal when Christ was teaching, and faith still comes by hearing the Word of God.

We pray for you that the Sun of Righteousness may rise upon you with healing in His wings, that you may be forgiven and healed by the pardoning hand, that your blood pressure may be stayed and your body quieted, and that your heart may be washed in the blood of the Lamb and kept in perfect peace. May the Lord, who healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds, be your Physician and your Saviour, for there is no other name under heaven whereby we must be saved but the name of Jesus Christ alone. We commend you to His abundant streams of healing which flow from Calvary, trusting He will do you good according to His mercy.

Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer about these attacks on your body and the burden of high blood pressure has been heard, and we are lifting you up before the Lord.

It is not ridiculous to bring this before God. He created your body and cares for every part of it. When you feel attacked and do not understand where it comes from, and when your blood pressure rises and brings fear and frustration, He sees and He invites you to cast your cares on Him.

We pray for you now that God would grant you peace and healing. We ask that the Lord would calm your body, steady your heart and your blood pressure, and guard you from fear. We ask that He would give wisdom to any doctors and help you to find good care, and that He would give you rest, strength, and understanding as you seek to steward your body well for His glory.

Scripture reminds us that the blood of bulls under the old covenant could only provide an outward and incomplete cleansing, but the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, brings true remission of sins, reconciliation with God, and peace. That same blood that forgives and reconciles also assures us that nothing is too small or too hidden for His power and mercy. Through His blood we have peace with God, and through His wounds we have hope for healing and restoration.

We pray that you would know that peace in a deeper way, that anxiety would lessen, and that your body would come into a healthier balance. Keep seeking the Lord daily, trust Him with what you do not understand, and also continue to seek wise medical counsel, care for your body with rest and nourishment, and let others help you as needed.

May the Lord strengthen you, keep you in His care, and give you confidence that He is near and that His grace is sufficient for you. We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and Savior, who shed His blood for us. Amen.
