[Richard Dawkins]

I am a Christian scholar studying atheism. Recently I was reading Richard Dawkins' horrific "The God Delusion" book, and although I learned a lot, I was overwhelmed by the venom this man spit toward God and all religion. It is not good enough for Dawkins and writers in his ilk to not believe in God and state why, but they choose to insult all believers, spread lies and stereotypes about religion and religious people, and more or less blame all of the world's problems on people who believe in God. This disparaging of religion hovers like a plague over the land, as books such as these are frequent best-sellers, selling millions of books every year.

While contemplating this hateful man's book, I was thoroughly depressed that someone would choose to believe such rubbish. Then it occurred to me that if anyone needed prayer, it was Richard Dawkins. I hereby ask that people will pray for his salvation, and request that God will open his heart and reveal himself to this sad man. Pray that the Lord will show him and his readers the error of their ways, and fill all of their hearts with his wonderful Holy Spirit. Reveal to them the truth of the Christian religion and all the wonderful things that religious folks do every day.

The many attacks on God makes me remember how mighty our God is. It shows me that the enemy is afraid of Him. YES!! Our God will always prevail. I have noticed over the years that so many people are turned away from God by the "hypocracy" of Christians.

I pray Lord, that all of Your humble servants will embrace and remember that it is our sin and temptation that causes us to need You. Let us not be ashamed of our sins but rejoice and share the TRUTH of Your love and forgiveness so that others will see how great You are and be assured that You will love them unconditionally, regardless of how much forgiveness we all need. Lord, I thank You for the sacrifice You made for us. It is so precious to me. It is impossible for me to ever understand why You would have made that same sacrifice if it had been just me, but I am so grateful. Help us all to remember how much You love us so that we will feel so empowered by this love to share it with every willing ear. In Your name Lord I pray, amen
