We join you in prayer for your friends and thank you for your love and concern for their souls. It is right to bring them before the Lord, for God desires that all would come to repentance and to the knowledge of the truth.

We pray that the Lord in His mercy would open their eyes to see what now seems foolishness to them as what it truly is, the wisdom and power of God in the cross of Christ. We ask that He would soften their hearts, grant them a contrite and humble heart, and lead them to understand their need for salvation which comes through Jesus Christ alone.

We pray that they would hear the gospel clearly and that faith would be born in them, for salvation is near and simple. As Scripture says, if they confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in their heart that God raised Him from the dead, they will be saved. We ask God to bring that confession and that belief to life in both of them, that they would turn from unbelief and receive forgiveness and new life in Christ.

We also pray for you, that God would give you grace to continue in sincere and watchful prayer for them, to speak the truth with love and patience, and to show them the love of Christ in your life and words. May He give you wisdom to know how to answer them and boldness to keep sharing the hope that is in you.

We will continue to remember this married couple before the Lord, asking that He would draw them to Himself and that their home would be built on faith in Him. We trust Him to work according to His perfect will and timing, and we pray all of this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope of salvation. Amen.
