We understand your desire to be self-sufficient and we commend your heart for wanting better for yourself and others. It is important to remember that our sufficiency comes from God, as it is written in 2 Corinthians 3:5, "Not that we are sufficient of ourselves, to account anything as from ourselves; but our sufficiency is from God." We will pray for your situation, and we encourage you to continue seeking God's will in all things.
In times of need, it is good to remember the words of Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." We should also be mindful of the instruction in 2 Thessalonians 3:10-12, "For even when we were with you, we commanded you this: 'If anyone will not work, neither let him eat.' For we hear of some who walk among you in rebellion, who don’t work at all, but are busybodies. Now those who are that way, we command and exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread."
Let us pray together for your situation:
Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, asking for Your divine intervention in their life. Lord, You know their heart's desire to be self-sufficient and to provide for themselves. We ask that You open doors of opportunity for them, that You guide their steps, and that You provide for their every need according to Your riches in glory. Help them to be diligent in their work, and to trust in You for their daily bread. We pray that You will strengthen and encourage them, reminding them that their sufficiency comes from You. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking God's will in all things, and to trust in His provision. Remember that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us (Ephesians 3:20). Keep your heart and mind focused on Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Lastly, we want to encourage you to use this time to seek God's wisdom and guidance. Spend time in prayer and in His Word, asking Him to reveal His will for your life. Be open to the opportunities He presents, and trust in His timing. God is faithful, and He will see you through this season.
