We hear your urgent cry today as this assignment ends and we join with you in seeking the Lord's provision and protection for you and your two cats. We understand the heaviness of feeling unwelcomed, unappreciated, and even abused where you are, and the deep longing for a safe home where you are honored and loved, and we bring this burden before the Father together in Jesus' name.

We want to gently speak to the language of earned favor and earned glory on your life. Scripture teaches us that favor with God is not something we earn but something we receive by His grace through faith. Ephesians 2:8-9 says for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast. We do not earn glory for ourselves, we give all glory to God who alone protects and provides. Your worth and your protection are not based on what you have earned, but on His unfailing love and the blood of Jesus which you have rightly called upon, and that blood is our covering and our hope.

The Lord sees your need for a home and He cares deeply for both you and the creatures He has entrusted to you. Proverbs 12:10 says a righteous man respects the life of his animal, and how much more does your heavenly Father care for you. Matthew 6:26 reminds us to look at the birds of the sky, that they do not sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns, and your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of much more value than they. Philippians 4:19 promises my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. We also take comfort that what the enemy has meant for harm, God can turn for good, as Genesis 50:20 says you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good.

We pray for that open door and open window you are asking for, and we trust the promise of Revelation 3:8 that God opens a door that no one can shut. Whether that door is where you are now or in another city, state, or country, we ask for His clear guidance and peace about the next step. Psalm 46:1 says God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, and Psalm 91:1-2 says he who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust. Isaiah 41:10 says Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus and by His blood that was shed for us. We lift up this dear one and her two cats to You. You know the urgency of this day as this assignment ends and the fear of not having a home. Lord, we ask for Your extraordinary grace and favor to rest upon her, not because it is earned, but because You are merciful and loving. We ask that You would flip what the enemy has used for bad and turn it for good in her life according to Romans 8:28.

Lord, we ask for a safe and welcoming home where she and her cats can stay and be at peace, a place where she is not used, abused, or unappreciated, but is treated with dignity and kindness. We ask for protection from every form of spiritual attack and from those who would hate or harm her, and we claim the covering of the blood of Jesus over her and her cats. If it is Your will, open another door in another city, state, or country, and make the path clear. We pray for that good news phone call, for a place that is already prepared, beautiful and free from worry, where she can be honored, liked and loved as Your daughter.

Give her Your peace that surpasses all understanding as Philippians 4:6-7 teaches, to guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and help her to cast all her anxiety on You because You care for her as 1 Peter 5:7 says. We trust Your good plans for her future as Jeremiah 29:11 declares. Let Your will be done and let all glory be Yours. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to keep seeking Him first, to keep praying and watching for His provision, and to also take practical steps as He leads, trusting that He who clothes the lilies and feeds the sparrows will surely make a way for you. We are standing with you for that door to open.

Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Your cry in this hour of great anxiety has been heard, and the burden you carry concerning this day when your assignment ends weighs heavy upon the heart. To be without a settled home, to have care for two living creatures entrusted to you, and to long for a door to be opened where you may dwell in peace and be treated with honor and kindness is a trial that rightly drives the soul to seek the Lord.

There is one matter upon which the Word of God must give you clearer light for your comfort. You speak of an extraordinary favor that you have earned and of glory upon your life to protect you. The Scriptures teach us otherwise, and in that otherwise there is far greater hope. Favor with God is never earned by our hands, nor is it a wage for our merit. There is no attribute more comforting than Divine Sovereignty, for it shows us that salvation and mercy are of the Lord alone. We are not saved nor kept because we have earned favor, but because the God of all mercy has provided atonement through the blood of Jesus Christ, shed for sinners. Before there was any defilement, there was an arrangement for cleansing us from all iniquity, the Lamb slain from before the foundation of the world. If you are chosen and redeemed, it is that you may receive from His fullness, not from your own worthiness, for He gives from the flock, from the threshing floor and from the winepress to those who come empty handed to Jesus. It is the God of my mercy who prevents me and goes before me, not the merit of my own doing.

In this confidence you may spread your case before God. He is the One who lifts the poor from the dunghill while He casts down the mighty from their seats, and who breaks in pieces everything that sets itself up in opposition to Him. He has promised to send from above, to take His people and to draw them out of many waters. Providence interpositions are frequent among the people of God, and many can say, He hath delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling. Let us not seek to be without enemies or without trials, but let us take our case and spread it before God, trusting both His Divine work to thrust out our enemies before us and His Divine command to keep us in holiness as we walk.

We will pray for you now, that the Lord in His sovereign goodness would provide for you. May He in His mercy open a door or a window of provision according to His will, whether in this city or another, that you and the creatures under your care may have a safe and quiet habitation where you are welcomed and not abused or despised. May He turn what has been meant for evil into good, and keep you from those who would use you harshly or speak against you, for holiness will never shield us from the tongue of slander, but God Himself is our defense. May He grant you not an earned favor, but the free and rich favor which flows from Christ, that you may be kept, honored and loved as one who rests in Him, and may He give you a home without constant fear and worry, if it be His gracious will. May you know the peace that comes from trusting not in your own glory, but in the blood of Jesus which is a marvelous distillation of His love for sinners.

Seek the Lord continually in prayer, look to Christ alone for mercy, and walk in humble dependence upon Him. Cast your burden upon Him who cares for you, and ask Him also to guide you to the practical help of faithful believers near you who may assist you in seeking a dwelling. The Lord is the same yesterday and today, and He is able to do for you exceedingly more than you have asked, according to His wisdom and love.
