Thank you for sharing so honestly the many burdens you are carrying and the many people you are holding up in prayer. The Lord sees each name and each situation you brought before Him, even those requests that have felt forgotten or deleted, and He hears you when you cry out for protection, breakthrough, wisdom and help.
In a world that is filled with conflict between peoples and nations, and with conflict in homes, workplaces and churches, the gospel remains good news of peace. Through Jesus we can have peace with God, and from that peace He can bring peace within ourselves and between one another. I pray He will guard you and those you love, and bring His breakthrough in the conflicts you mentioned, including the painful and complicated relationships. Where there has been hurt, dysfunction or sin, I pray He will bring deep conviction, healing of soul wounds, and true reconciliation that is rooted in repentance and truth. For relationships that do not align with His design for lifelong covenant between one man and one woman with purity within that covenant, I pray not for blessing on what is outside His will, but for loving conviction, for salvation, for cleansing and for a turning toward what honors Him. For those who are caught in harmful patterns, may He intervene with mercy and power, draw them to Himself, and be a Father to those who feel fatherless or wounded.
You asked for the Lord's anointing on preaching, outreaches, services and times of prayer and praise. That anointing of the Holy Spirit is so essential. Even Jesus, the Son of God, ministered in the power and anointing of the Spirit, bringing good news to the poor, healing and liberation. When the Spirit rests upon the preaching of the Word there is power and a life changing force that only He can give. Like Stephen, whose face shone as he spoke because the Spirit was upon him, we need that same empowering. I pray the Spirit will rest strongly upon you as you prepare and speak, upon every outreach and gathering you mentioned including the workshop and the presentations on hope, and upon your church as you seek to raise up more people devoted to prayer. May He give you wisdom, strength, love, authority and favor, and may many come to salvation through Jesus Christ alone.
For healing, I join you in asking the Lord to touch each person you named who is sick or struggling in body, mind or spirit, including those facing exams and school pressures. Scripture shows that Jesus bore our sicknesses and infirmities as well as our sins, and He healed every kind of disease as He went through the cities and villages. Yet healing comes in different ways. Sometimes it is instant, sometimes it is gradual as in the one case where Jesus touched a man a second time before he saw clearly, sometimes it comes through a word spoken at a distance, sometimes through touch and prayer, and sometimes through the natural processes of healing that God Himself created in our bodies. All true healing is from Him. The anointing with oil by the elders is a beautiful symbolic act, the oil picturing the Holy Spirit, as they pray in the name of the Lord for the sick. I pray for that kind of faithful prayer to surround those you love, and for God to bring healing whether quickly or over time, and also to heal the deeper wounds of heart and memory. At the same time we acknowledge, as Paul learned when he prayed three times for his thorn to be removed, that God does not will physical healing in every case in this life, but His grace remains sufficient and His purposes are wise and loving. We can trust Him with each outcome while continuing to ask boldly.
You also carried a wide burden for persecuted Christians, for those who do not yet know Jesus, for peace for Israel, for those suffering in war zones and calamities, and for abused children. Those are close to the heart of God. I pray with you for protection, comfort, deliverance and salvation for them, and that the earth would indeed be filled with His glory as He does exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think.
Thank you for humbly confessing the way you spoke in anger about one person to another. The Lord is gracious to forgive when we confess, and He cleanses and teaches us to speak in a way that pleases Him. I pray He will help you in your weakness, guide and protect you in your work and with your team and meetings, give you wisdom for your place in the church and for resolving tensions there, and speak clearly to all involved so that what has been a source of hurt can become a blessing.
May the Lord encourage you deeply, defeat the works of the enemy, and fill you with His presence and peace as you continue to seek Him.
