Beloved of All
Your burden for so many people and situations comes through clearly, and your desire to see God glorified in each of them is encouraging. Thank you for bringing these requests honestly before the Lord, including your confession about speaking in anger about ###. God hears the repentant heart, and Scripture assures us that when we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us.
It is right to ask for strong protection and breakthrough, for wisdom and anointing on the outreaches and services you mentioned, and for God to work in the many conflicts and hurts you carry. The pattern God gave us for His church is seen in the book of Acts, where a people filled with love and good works walked in purity and power. That power was not meant for only the first generation. God has not withdrawn His Spirit. When the church seems weak and anemic, the need is not to blame God but to seek Him for a fresh purifying work. The apostle Paul urged the church in Corinth to purge out the old leaven, to put away hypocrisy and compromise, and the result of that cleansing was power. In the same way, a church that does not tolerate evil but discerns what is right, that holds fast to love, is a place where the Spirit remains present. Where love grows cold and formalism takes over, the light dims. Where hearts are humble and open, Jesus who is the head of His body continues to chasten, cleanse, and restore those He loves.
That helps frame how to pray for the relationships and conflicts you named. God calls us to pray for conviction where there is sin, for healing where there are soul wounds, and for salvation above all. For any relationship that is outside His design, we do not ask Him to bless what He calls us to turn from. His design for sexual intimacy and living together is within the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman, and His will for those who are not married is purity and self control. So we pray that God will lovingly confront what is not of Him, stop what would lead to further harm, bring deep healing, and draw each person involved to repentance and to faith in Jesus Christ, through whom alone we are saved. For marriages and families that are strained, including between parents and children, we ask for miracles of reconciliation that are true and lasting because they are built on truth, forgiveness, and obedience to Christ.
We join you in praying for the wider burdens you carry, for persecuted Christians to be strengthened, for those who do not yet know Jesus to be saved, for the peace of Jerusalem and for all who suffer in war zones and calamities, and for abused children to be protected and healed. The church is one body, and when one part suffers we all suffer. As the early believers shared freely and voluntarily to help those in need in Jerusalem, so we are to bear one another's burdens today.
We also lift up your personal needs. May the Lord be a Father to the young woman you mentioned, healing her, showing her His love, and helping her with school and exams. May He heal those who are sick, including those you named, according to His mercy and wisdom. May He give you wisdom, strength, encouragement, and favor at work and in meetings, and guide your leaders as they oversee the life of the church. May He anoint the preaching of the word, the workshop, the presentation on hope, and the Live Nativity, and may He raise up more people who love to pray, so that your prayer gatherings are marked by His presence and by clear proclamation of the gospel that many would be saved.
Father, we bring all of these people and situations to You in the name of Jesus. Purify Your church and fill us with love, that Your power may be seen. Convict where there is sin, heal where there is wounding, provide where there is need, and protect those who are vulnerable. Do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask, that the earth may be filled with Your glory. Amen.
