Asking the Lord's help

Your many prayers have been heard and we join you in bringing them before the Lord with thanksgiving for your honest and persistent heart.

We pray with you for strong protection and breakthrough for you and for all in need, for encouragement, wisdom and the Lord's anointing upon every outreach, service and gathering. We ask God to pour out His presence on your church, on the evening of prayer and praise this Friday and on every sermon and meeting, that all would be done in a manner pleasing to Him and for the salvation of many through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we are saved. We ask Him to raise up more prayer warriors, to give you strength, favor and guidance in your work and in your place at church, and to help you in weakness as you lean on Him.

We also bring before Him the many conflicts you mentioned, including those forgotten and those within the church and team. Scripture reminds us that every conflict has its root in love for the things of this life, whether covetousness, envy or vainglory, and that if the root is cut out there will be no bitter fruit. We pray God will help you to despise what is passing and to treasure what is above, to deprecate conflicts rather than rush into them, and to stand nobly when you are called to endure. When trials are prolonged and severe, He allows them so that the righteous may gain more through perseverance. May He give you grace to wait on His timing, to speak and act with humility, and to seek His peace.

Concerning the relationships you named, we pray as the Lord teaches. We do not ask God to bless what does not honor His design, but we ask Him to convict where there is sin, to confront evil, to heal soul wounds, and to lead each person to repentance and to salvation in Christ. For marriage we hold to God's good creation as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that intimacy and living together belong within that covenant. So we pray that God will either bring relationships into alignment with His holy will in purity and truth, or bring a godly separation and healing, that He would be a Father to those who need Him, stop what is dysfunctional and harmful, and bring true reconciliation where it reflects His grace. We ask Him to have His hand upon those who are struggling, to show His love, to bring healing and to draw each one to Himself.

We pray for the healing you requested, for those who are sick in body and wounded in soul, for help with school and exams, for provision and guidance at work, and for your own forgiveness where you have spoken about others. May the Lord grant you mercy, turn even mistakes into a blessing, and bring back those who have drifted away as He wills.

We join you also in the larger burdens you carry that have been deleted before. We lift up persecuted Christians, those who are unsaved that they would come to faith in Christ, the peace of Jerusalem, those suffering in war zones and calamities, and abused children. We ask the Lord to have mercy, to bring justice, comfort and deliverance, and to let His glory be known.

Take encouragement that the just shall live by faith and not draw back. God sees your labor, hears every prayer offered in a pure conscience, and is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask. May He fill you with encouragement, defeat the works of the enemy, and let the earth be filled with His glory as you continue to trust Him. Amen
