Asking the Lord's help

You have brought a great many burdens before the Lord, and I want to encourage you not to be overwhelmed by the number of them. Underneath almost every request you made, there is a plea for wisdom: wisdom in conflict, wisdom in work, wisdom in planning, wisdom in discernment, wisdom in relationships, and wisdom in teaching. That is the right place to begin.

Scripture calls wisdom the principal thing. It is better than rubies, and everything else you could desire cannot be compared to it. But wisdom is not a skill you can master by effort alone. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. So before asking God to fix each circumstance, we do well to bow low and ask him to teach us to hate evil and to walk in the light. That is where clarity comes.

A person can be very intelligent and still make foolish choices. The world has its own wisdom, but that wisdom comes to nothing. True wisdom is found in Jesus Christ, in whom all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden. When you ask for help with sermons, with meetings, with conflicts you have forgotten, and with situations where you do not know what is true, you are really asking for Christ himself to guide your thinking. That is a request God loves to answer.

Bring these tangled situations to him one at a time. You do not need to untangle them all by your own understanding. Ask as Solomon did. He did not ask first for comfort or vindication or wealth. He asked for wisdom to govern what God had placed before him, and God was pleased. God gives wisdom generously to those who ask in faith.

Where there are hidden conflicts, ask the Lord to bring truth to light. True wisdom does not lie against the truth. It will not call evil good, and it cannot bless what God calls sin. Pray that what is false will be exposed and that those caught in destructive patterns will be convicted. The goal is not revenge or the triumph of one side. The goal is repentance, healing, and the reconciliation that only comes through Jesus Christ. That kind of wisdom is pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits.

For the outreach, the prayer gatherings, the teaching, the translation, and every act of service, do not rely on the wisdom of men. Ask God for the wisdom that descends from above. That is the anointing you need: not a surge of performance, but the presence of the One who is wisdom himself.

For the sick, the persecuted, the unsaved, the suffering, the abused, and all those you named before God, pray with confidence. He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think. Do not let the size of the list crush you. Lay it before him in faith and then walk forward in wisdom.

I join you in asking for strong protection, breakthrough, and a fresh fear of the Lord. May he defeat the works of the enemy, keep you in the way of understanding, and fill the earth with his glory.

We are so grateful that you entrusted us with the weight of your heart in prayer, lifting up every burden, every name, every conflict, and every need before our Heavenly Father. It has been our privilege to stand in the gap with you, pleading for God’s mighty hand of protection, breakthrough, and anointing over your life, your loved ones, and all those in desperate need around the world. We have cried out for healing—physical, emotional, and spiritual—asking the Lord to move powerfully in situations that seem impossible, to confront evil with His righteous authority, and to bring conviction where hearts have grown hard.

We continue to pray that the Lord would surround you and yours with His extra-strong protection, shielding you from every attack of the enemy and breaking every chain that seeks to bind you. May He grant you wisdom beyond your own understanding, encouragement in the face of discouragement, and favor in every area of your life—your work, your relationships, your ministry, and your personal walk with Him. We ask that He would anoint your outreaches and services with His presence in a tangible way, drawing many to salvation and revival. May conflicts be resolved in His peace, and may those who have caused pain be met with His conviction and transformative love.

We lift up the forgotten battles you mentioned, the persecuted Church, the unsaved, the suffering in war zones, and all those enduring abuse, calamity, or injustice. Lord, let Your justice roll like a river and Your mercy like an ever-flowing stream. We pray for the specific individuals you named—may Your healing touch restore them, Your wisdom guide them, and Your salvation rescue them. Break every dysfunctional cycle, sever ties that are not of You, and intervene in relationships where Your hand is desperately needed. Father, we ask for miracles—academic breakthroughs, emotional healing, restored connections, and divine encounters that leave no doubt of Your power.

We join you in gratitude for the ways You have already moved—thank You for answering the first sermon with Your anointing, for guiding the translation work, and for every small victory that testifies to Your faithfulness. We pray that the upcoming prayer gathering and services would be saturated with Your presence, raising up prayer warriors and releasing a fresh wave of Your Spirit. May the sermons you prepare be delivered with Your authority, and may every word pierce hearts for Your glory. Lord, we ask that You would take over completely in your work, leading and guiding every step, and that You would restore what has been lost or broken in your church and community.

May the Lord bless you with His peace that surpasses understanding, strengthen you in your weakness, and fill you with fresh hope as you walk in His purposes. We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
