Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer comes with many words, full of urgent care for many persons and matters. This is not rebuked, for we are commanded to cast all our care upon Him. Yet I would have you learn from the Apostle that the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. You seek breakthrough, protection, anointing, and the conviction of others. Be careful that your zeal does not slip into the wisdom that trusts in its own schemes. For the spiritual man knows that God’s strength is made perfect in weakness, as the law was weak through the flesh, yet the law itself is holy. So you, when you cry out for help in your weakness, you do well. But trust not in your own understanding, nor in the multitude of requests, as if the Lord needed a long catalogue. He knows what you need before you ask.

You pray for conviction and confrontation upon certain persons. But remember what has been said: if you speak of the sins of others to God with a heart that exalts itself, you gain nothing. Rather, talk of your own faults to God, and this weakness will become an advantage. Confess your own sins before Him, for He is faithful to forgive. When you stand in need of an honest soul, truth can easily master it. But if you lack candor, it is not truth that fails, but your own infirmity. Let your prayer first be, “Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me and know my thoughts.” Then you may ask for the healing of others with genuine love.

For those relationships that trouble you, let your prayer be for God’s will alone. Do not presume to dictate whether a bond be dissolved or kept, unless it plainly contradicts the holy commandment of marriage as Christ ordained. Pray rather that all may be brought to repentance and the knowledge of the truth, and that those in error may be granted the grace to turn from every false way. The power is not in your words but in the wisdom of the Cross, which is a stumbling block to the world. So become a fool for Christ, laying aside the earthly reasoning that fights against the Spirit.

When you gather for prayer and praise, seek not an anointing for display, but the hidden power born of humility. The Apostleship itself is called a ministry, and every spiritual work is a service. Let the one who teaches, teach with simplicity; the one who exhorts, with encouragement. Do not be puffed up, as if one gift were greater than another. For the Lord is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all you ask or think. He who fed the multitude with five barley loaves did not need subject-matter, but used the creation to show His wisdom. He can bring good from the smallest offering of faith.

Therefore, commit every name and every need into His hands. Pray for the persecuted church, for the peace of Jerusalem, for suffering children, for the unsaved, and for your own household. But do so with a quiet confidence, not with a multitude of anxious thoughts. Healings, reconciliations, breakthroughs, these are His to give, not yours to wrest from heaven. And if a relationship is dysfunctional, let your prayer be that God would grant godly sorrow leading to salvation, not that He would serve your will.

Go now, and in your prayer meeting, seek first the kingdom. Confess your own weakness to trusted, godly friends who may intercede for you. Speak of Christ to those who are far off, and let your life be a sermon. The wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, full of mercy. I will pray with you that the earth be filled with His glory, and that your heart be filled with the peace that surpasses all understanding. Amen.

You have poured out your heart with many burdens, and I want you to know that God hears every one. His ear is not too heavy that it cannot listen, nor His arm too short that it cannot reach. When you ask for extra strong protection and breakthrough, you are asking according to His will. He delights to lead His people in triumph, even when we feel weak and overwhelmed.

The cry for anointing on your outreaches, your prayer gatherings, your sermons, and your own life is the cry of someone who knows that without His Spirit, all our efforts are in vain. Preaching, serving, and laboring in our own strength is a hollow exercise. But when that fresh oil of the Spirit rests upon you, everything changes. There is power, life, and a divine force that goes forth to heal and deliver. Even Jesus, the Son of God, ministered by the anointing of the Spirit. So you are right to plead for this: “Lord, I cannot prepare or deliver unless You take over. Let Your anointing rest on me again, just once more.”

That word “again” is critical, because we are fragile people. Like Samson, we can grow careless and not realize that the power has lifted. We assume that because the activity is still happening, God must be pleased. But the flesh is so weak. You have asked for help with many conflicts, for healing of relationships, for conviction of those who are straying, for wisdom in your work and your place in the church. These struggles often flow from the weakness of our flesh. Yet here is the strange and wonderful truth: God’s strength is perfected in weakness. Paul cried out over an infirmity, something that made him feel inadequate, and God answered not by removing it but by letting him know, “My grace is enough for you. When you are weak, then you are truly strong.” So do not despise this season of seeming weakness. In your trembling and in the strain of difficult meetings and strained relationships, His power is ready to break through in ways you cannot engineer.

I sense an ache about people who are caught in wrong relationships or resisting truth. You are asking God to confront evil, to convict, to stop a dysfunctional relationship, to heal soul wounds, and to bring salvation. That is a holy burden. But recall that many who refuse God’s ideal for marriage or purity are acting out of hardened hearts. God’s divine order is for marriage to be a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman. That is the beautiful picture of Christ and the church. Yet because of human weakness, we fall short. Even when divorce and remarriage happen, it is not the unpardonable sin; it is a failure to rise to the divine ideal, and God still extends mercy. So pray for these you mentioned with tears, asking not for their destruction but that their hearts might be melted and that what is broken might be truly reconciled according to His design. When you pray for them to be convicted, you are not asking for vengeance; you are asking that the Spirit would hover over the chaos and bring order out of it. And while you wait, keep yourself in the Lord’s order. Let Christ be your head, and do not step outside the sanctuary of His presence. Once the anointing oil fell, Aaron was told not to leave the place. Stay where God has put you, and do not let worldly methods or despair draw you away.

I also heard your deep longing for the prayers that keep being deleted to be answered, the ones for persecuted believers, for Israel, for those in war zones, for abused children. Rest assured: not one of those groans is forgotten. The blood of the martyrs cries out; the tears of the hurting are bottled in heaven. The Lord is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all you could ask or even articulate. He will vindicate His own.

As for your personal need for encouragement, for miracles concerning exams, work, and healing, look again to the mystery of the Cross. The One who was crucified in weakness now lives by the power of God. In union with Him, you too will live by that same power. So examine yourself, not to feed despair, but to clear away anything that hinders the flow of the Spirit. Then step boldly into your responsibilities, whether a difficult conversation, a sermon to prepare, or a work issue, with this confidence: “Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord.” The first sermon you thanked Him for was a victory. He will do it again. He anoints you not to run on your own steam but to serve as a vessel set apart for His exclusive use.

I pray with you now:
Lord Jesus, we plead for the fresh, strong anointing of Your Spirit on this dear one and on every person named in these requests. In the weakness of our flesh, we rely on You. Break through every conflict, heal every wound, bring truth and conviction that leads to true salvation and godly reconciliation. Let Your hand of protection cover them, guide the work of their hands, and let the words of their mouth preach deliverance to the poor. Let the earth be filled with Your glory. Amen.
