We join with you in lifting up your heartfelt prayers, and we are deeply moved by your passion for the Lord’s glory and your love for your family. It is beautiful to see your desire to honor God in all things, and we stand with you in agreement, knowing that our Heavenly Father delights in the prayers of His children who seek Him earnestly.
First, we rejoice that you have invoked the name of Jesus in your prayer, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. As Scripture declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). Your faith in calling upon His name is a testament to your trust in His power and sovereignty, and we encourage you to continue to place every request before Him with boldness.
We also commend your heart for evangelism and your desire to shine brightly for Christ, that souls may be drawn to Him through your life. Jesus calls us to be the light of the world, and your willingness to go into the highways and byways to minister to the broken reflects His heart. *"Go, and tell this people, ‘You hear indeed, but don’t understand; and you see indeed, but don’t perceive.’ Make the heart of this people fat. Make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their heart, and turn again, and be healed."* (Isaiah 6:9-10, WEB) Yet, we know that God’s desire is for all to come to repentance, and He will use you mightily as you step out in faith.
Now, let us address the matters of marriage and relationships in your prayer. You have asked the Lord to send husbands for you and your daughters—men who love God and will lead with godly integrity. This is a righteous request, and we join you in praying for godly spouses who will cherish and honor your family as Christ loves the Church. Marriage is a sacred covenant, established by God between one man and one woman, and it is His design that husbands love their wives as Christ loved the Church, and that wives respect their husbands (Ephesians 5:22-33). We pray that the Lord would prepare you and your daughters to be women of virtue, wisdom, and faith, so that when He brings these men into your lives, you will be ready to build Christ-centered homes.
We must also address something with love and clarity: in your prayer, you used the phrase *"partner in ministry"* in reference to a future husband. While we understand your heart’s desire for companionship in service, we encourage you to be mindful of the language we use, as the world often uses terms like "partner" to describe relationships that do not align with biblical marriage. A husband is not merely a partner but a covenant keeper, a leader, and a protector, just as Christ is to the Church. We pray that the Lord would send you a *husband*—a man who will stand with you in ministry, yes, but first and foremost, a man who will lead you both in holiness and devotion to Christ.
We are deeply grieved to hear of the trials your oldest daughter is facing in her workplace. The abuse and chaos she has endured are not of God, and we stand with you in rebuking the enemy’s attempts to bring harm and discouragement. *"Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour."* (1 Peter 5:8, WEB) We pray for divine protection over her, that the Lord would be a shield around her, and that He would grant her supernatural peace and strength. We also pray for justice in her workers' compensation case, that the Lord would expose any wrongdoing and vindicate her. May the Lord bring conviction to those who have failed to protect her, and may He move on behalf of the vulnerable children in her care. We ask that today would indeed be a *"Miracle Monday"* for her, that the Lord would calm the storms around her and grant her rest.
For your granddaughter, we lift her up in prayer for complete healing from anorexia and all the physical and mental struggles that accompany it. This is a battle not just of the body but of the mind, and we know that the Lord is able to restore her fully. *"Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God."* (Romans 12:2, WEB) We rebuke the spirit of anorexia and declare freedom over her in Jesus’ name. May she encounter the love of Christ in a way that breaks every chain and fills her with His peace. We also pray for her future, that the Lord would prepare a godly husband for her in His perfect timing, a man who will cherish her and lead her closer to Jesus.
Regarding your visit with your father today, we pray for reconciliation and joy. Even among believers, relationships can be strained, but we trust that the Lord will soften both of your hearts toward one another. *"If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men."* (Romans 12:18, WEB) May your time together be filled with grace, and may your father see the love of Christ in you. We pray that any judgment or tension would be replaced with gratitude and affection as you celebrate his life today.
Finally, we lift up your heart’s desire for a husband—a man who will love you as Christ loves the Church and who will stand with you in ministry. We pray that the Lord would prepare you during this season of waiting, that you would grow deeper in your relationship with Him and be fully surrendered to His will. *"Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart."* (Psalm 37:4, WEB) May the Lord bring a man of God into your life, one who is grounded in the Word, filled with the Spirit, and committed to loving you sacrificially. We also pray for wisdom as you shepherd the small church in your care, that the Lord would equip you to pastor His sheep with compassion and truth.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today with hearts full of gratitude and expectation, knowing that You are a God who hears and answers prayer. We lift up our sister and her family, asking that You would move mightily in each of their lives. Lord, we thank You for her heart to glorify You and to bring souls to Christ. Strengthen her, Father, and use her powerfully as she steps out in faith to minister to the lost and broken.
For her oldest daughter, we ask for Your divine intervention in her workplace. Lord, You see the chaos and the harm she has endured, and we ask that You would bring peace and protection today. Shut the mouths of the violent and grant her a day of rest and restoration. We pray for justice in her workers' compensation case, that You would expose the truth and vindicate her. Surround her with Your angels, Lord, and let her feel Your presence in a tangible way.
For her granddaughter, we declare healing and freedom from anorexia and all its effects. Lord, renew her mind and restore her body. Break the chains of the enemy and fill her with Your peace. Let her know that she is fearfully and wonderfully made, and that her worth is found in You alone. Prepare her heart for the future You have for her, including a godly husband in Your perfect timing.
For our sister’s desire for a husband, we ask that You would prepare her heart and the heart of the man You have for her. Bring them together in Your timing, Lord, and let their union be a testament to Your love and faithfulness. Raise up godly husbands for her daughters as well, men who will lead with integrity and love them as Christ loves the Church.
We pray for reconciliation and joy in her visit with her father today. Soften their hearts toward one another, Lord, and let this time be filled with Your grace and love.
Finally, we ask for Your wisdom and anointing as she pastors the small church in her care. Equip her, Lord, to shepherd Your sheep with truth and compassion. Give her a heart for the outcasts and the broken, and use her to bring many into Your kingdom.
We rebuke the enemy in Jesus’ name and declare that no weapon formed against this family shall prosper. Let Your will be done in each of their lives, and may they walk in the fullness of Your purpose.
We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
