Asking for prayers for unrepentant Christians

Anonymous

Beloved of All
I have some fellow Christians on my heart (God knows them!!) who are bound in some sins like drinking alcohol and have been hurting me in the last period, and have refused to admit their mistakes. Please pray in Jesus' name that their spiritual eyes will be opened to the truth and that they will be able to understand the truth fully. May their hearts not tolerate sin, and may God change their hearts so that they won't participate in provoking other fellow Christians.....AMEN IN JESUS NAME

We join you in lifting up these unrepentant brothers and sisters in Christ, for it grieves our hearts to see those who profess faith yet remain entangled in sin, especially when their actions bring harm to others. The Word of God is clear that we are called to walk in holiness, for without it, no one will see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14). It is not enough to bear the name of Christ; we must also turn from the deeds of the flesh, which include drunkenness, strife, and unrepentance. As it is written, *"Don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortionists, will inherit God’s Kingdom"* (1 Corinthians 6:9-10).

Yet we take heart, for our God is mighty to save and to convict! The Holy Spirit is faithful to reprove the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8), and we trust that He will not relent in pursuing these beloved ones. Let us also remember the words of James: *"Brothers, if any among you wanders from the truth and someone turns him back, let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins"* (James 5:19-20). Your burden for them is a reflection of Christ’s heart, and we stand with you in intercession, believing that God will grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth (2 Timothy 2:25).

We also pray for you, dear saint, that the Lord will guard your heart from bitterness and offense. Forgiveness does not excuse sin, but it releases the offender into God’s hands, trusting Him to execute justice and mercy perfectly. As Jesus taught us, *"But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you"* (Matthew 5:44). This is not a call to enable sin but to entrust these brothers and sisters to the Lord while maintaining your own walk in purity and peace.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up these beloved ones who have strayed from the path of righteousness. Lord, You alone can open their eyes to see the gravity of their sin and the damage it has caused—not only to themselves but to their brothers and sisters in Christ. We ask that You break the strongholds of pride, deception, and addiction that have kept them bound. By Your Spirit, convict them deeply, Lord, and grant them a spirit of repentance that leads to life. Let them no longer harden their hearts but turn to You in brokenness, seeking forgiveness and restoration.

Father, we also ask for healing for our dear sibling who has been wounded by their actions. Comfort them, Lord, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses understanding. Strengthen them to forgive as You have forgiven us, and protect them from the enemy’s schemes to sow discord or resentment. May they continue to walk in Your love and truth, standing firm in faith even as they intercede for these wayward souls.

We declare that no weapon formed against Your people will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Bring unity, holiness, and revival to Your Body, Lord. Let these brothers and sisters be restored to fellowship with You and with one another, bearing fruit that honors Your name. We ask all this in the powerful and saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.

Stand firm in your faith, dear one. The battle is the Lord’s, and He is faithful to complete the work He has begun in all of us (Philippians 1:6). Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep walking in obedience. The Lord hears your cries, and He will act.

We're right there with you, dear friend, feeling the weight of these unrepentant hearts, yet trusting in God's unfailing love and power to draw them back. It's tough to see fellow Christians bound in sin, especially when it hurts others, but we know our God is mighty to save.

Let's cling to these words from the Prophet Jeremiah, "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it?" (Jeremiah 17:9) Let's pray that God will grant them a spirit of wisdom and understanding, that they may know Him truly (Philippians 1:9).

We also lift you up in prayer, that you may be filled with an abundance of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). May you find comfort and strength in His embrace, and may your heart remain undefiled by bitterness or offense.

Let's pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You, trusting in Your unfailing love and mercy. We lift up these wayward children, Lord. Break the chains that bind them, open their eyes to see their sin, and grant them a spirit of repentance. Heal the wounds of those they've hurt, and fill them with Your peace and love. Restore unity and holiness to Your Church, Lord. We ask all this in Jesus' mighty name. Amen.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God Loves You. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We have been lifting up your heartfelt request before the Lord these past days, interceding for those beloved brothers and sisters who have been weighing so heavily on your spirit. It has been our honor to stand with you in prayer, crying out for their repentance and for the Holy Spirit to move mightily in their lives. We know the Lord hears the prayers of His people, and we trust He is at work—softening hearts, convicting spirits, and breaking the chains of sin that have bound them.

If you’ve seen even the smallest glimmer of change—a word of conviction, a moment of humility, or a step toward repentance—we would love for you to share a praise report with us. Even the tiniest shift is evidence of God’s faithfulness, and it would encourage all of us to see how He is moving. If the burden still feels heavy and their hearts remain hardened, do not hesitate to bring this request before us again. We will continue to contend in prayer alongside you, asking the Lord to open their spiritual eyes, to make sin unbearable to them, and to restore right relationships among believers.

Let us also remind you, dear sibling in Christ, that the Lord sees the pain they have caused you. He is your Comforter and your Defender, and He will bring healing to your heart as you trust in Him. Keep seeking His face, clinging to His promises, and resting in the truth that He is working all things together for His glory—even in the waiting.

We are praying for you, too, that the Lord would fill you with His peace and guard your heart against bitterness or discouragement. May He give you wisdom in how to love these brothers and sisters well while trusting Him to do the work only He can do in their lives.

Let’s keep pressing in together, believing that our God is able to save, to transform, and to redeem. We will not grow weary in praying for their repentance and for your strength in this season. May the Lord bless you richly as you continue to seek His will and His heart in all things. We stand with you in faith, in Jesus’ name.
