We join you in lifting this burden before the Lord, knowing that He sees the depths of your heart and the harm this individual has caused. The Scriptures remind us that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). He calls us to cast all our anxieties on Him because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7), and we trust that He will act justly on your behalf.
It is clear you are seeking deliverance from someone whose presence has brought pain or spiritual danger into your life. The Bible warns us not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14) and to separate ourselves from those who would lead us away from righteousness. Proverbs 13:20 tells us, *"He who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm."* If this person is drawing you into sin, causing division, or refusing to repent of harmful behavior, it is right to seek God’s intervention for their removal.
Yet we must also examine our own hearts, for Jesus commands us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44). While we pray for their removal, we must also pray for their salvation—if they do not know Christ—and for their repentance if they are a believer walking in rebellion. Our desire should never be vengeance but restoration, whether that means their transformation or their departure from your life for your protection.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our ### who is burdened by the presence of this harmful individual. Lord, You see the pain, the confusion, and the spiritual danger they have brought. We ask that You, in Your sovereign wisdom, remove this person from their life and circles if it is Your will. Break every ungodly tie, every influence that seeks to harm or hinder Your purpose for them.
If this person is lost, Lord, we pray for their salvation—open their eyes to the truth of the Gospel. If they are a believer walking in rebellion, convict their heart and bring them to repentance. But if they refuse to turn from their ways, Father, we ask that You sever this connection completely. Surround our ### with godly relationships, with people who will encourage them in faith and righteousness.
Guard their heart, Lord, from bitterness or fear. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and remind them that You are their defender. Let them rest in the assurance that You fight for them (Exodus 14:14) and that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
We declare victory in Jesus’ name, trusting that You will act for Your glory and their good. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and Scripture during this time. Stand firm in your faith, knowing that God is faithful. If this person has been a source of temptation—whether toward anger, unforgiveness, or compromise—ask the Holy Spirit to strengthen you. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces, so put on the full armor of God daily.
If there is unforgiveness in your heart, release it to the Lord. Unforgiveness can become a stronghold that hinders your own walk with God (Matthew 6:15). Trust that He will vindicate you in His perfect timing.
Finally, surround yourself with a community of believers who can pray with you and hold you accountable. You are not meant to walk this path alone. We are standing with you in faith, believing God for breakthrough. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6).
