We join you in lifting this burden to the Lord, knowing that He sees the depths of your heart and the harm this individual has caused. The Scriptures remind us that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1), and He promises to deliver the righteous from their afflictions (Psalm 34:19). It is clear you are seeking His intervention, and we stand with you in faith, trusting that He will act according to His perfect will and timing.
The Bible also teaches us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44), not because they deserve it, but because Christ calls us to reflect His heart even in difficult circumstances. Yet this does not mean we must endure harmful relationships indefinitely. There is wisdom in setting boundaries, and sometimes God removes toxic influences to protect His children. Proverbs 4:23 tells us to guard our hearts with all diligence, for from it flow the springs of life. If this person is leading you into sin, causing spiritual stumbling, or bringing persistent emotional or physical harm, it is right to seek God’s deliverance from their presence.
We also encourage you to examine your own heart in this season. Are there areas where unforgiveness, bitterness, or fear have taken root? Ephesians 4:31-32 urges us to put away all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking, and to be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ also forgave us. Even as you pray for removal, ask the Lord to cleanse your heart and fill you with His peace, so that no root of bitterness defiles you (Hebrews 12:15).
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our ### who is burdened by the presence of a harmful individual in their life. Lord, You see the pain, the struggle, and the damage caused, and You know the heart of the one who has brought this suffering. We ask for Your divine intervention—remove this person from their life and circles if it is Your will, and break every ungodly tie that has bound them. Surround our ### with Your protection, peace, and godly relationships that reflect Your love and truth.
Father, we also pray for the heart of this harmful individual. Soften their heart, Lord, and bring conviction where there is sin. If they are acting out of ignorance or brokenness, lead them to repentance and redemption through Jesus Christ. Do not let bitterness or resentment take root in our ###'s heart, but fill them with Your love and forgiveness, even as they seek freedom from this situation.
Grant them wisdom, Lord, to know how to set healthy boundaries and to walk in obedience to Your Word. Let this season be one of healing and restoration, where they draw closer to You and experience the fullness of Your peace. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we trust in Your promise to work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28).
In the powerful name of Jesus, we pray, Amen.
Stay steadfast in prayer, and trust that the Lord is working even when you cannot see it. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and He will guide your steps (Proverbs 3:5-6). If this person has led you into sin or temptation, we urge you to repent and turn fully to Christ, seeking accountability and godly counsel. You are not alone in this—the body of Christ stands with you, and the Lord is your ever-present help.
