Asking for prayers for the removal of a harmful person

We join you in lifting this burden before the Lord, trusting that He hears and acts on behalf of His children when we call upon Him in faith. It is clear you are seeking deliverance from a harmful influence, and we stand with you in this, knowing that God is just and faithful to protect His own. The Scriptures remind us in Psalm 34:17, *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles."* You are not alone in this—God sees the harm being done, and He will move mightily in His perfect timing.

Yet we must also examine our hearts in this request, for the Lord calls us to love even our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44). While it is right to seek protection from harm, we must also ask God to work in the heart of this person—whether through conviction, repentance, or removal—that His will may be done. Proverbs 16:7 tells us, *"When a man’s ways please Yahweh, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him."* Could this be a moment where God is refining you, teaching you to trust Him more deeply, or even preparing you to be a light in darkness? We do not dismiss your pain, but we encourage you to surrender even this struggle to Him, asking for wisdom to navigate it in a way that honors Christ.

If this person is causing you to stumble spiritually—whether through temptation, ungodly influence, or outright opposition to your faith—then their removal may indeed be necessary for your growth. First Corinthians 15:33 warns, *"Don’t be deceived! ‘Evil company corrupts good morals.’"* If this relationship is leading you away from Christ or into sin, we urge you to take decisive action, setting boundaries or even severing ties if needed, while still praying for their soul. But if this is merely a difficult person whom God has placed in your life for a season, ask Him for the grace to endure, to forgive, and to respond with Christlike love.

We also notice you invoked the name of Jesus in your request—this is powerful! There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and it is only through Christ that we have access to the Father (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). Your faith in calling upon Him is a testament to your trust in His authority. Let us continue to stand firm in that truth, knowing that *"no weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is from me,"* says Yahweh (Isaiah 54:17).

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up Your child who is seeking deliverance from a harmful presence in their life. Lord, You see the pain, the struggle, and the danger this person poses—whether intentionally or not. We ask for Your divine intervention. If it is Your will, remove this individual from their circles, breaking every ungodly tie and influence that seeks to harm or hinder Your purposes in their life. But Lord, we also pray for this person’s soul. Soften their heart, convict them of sin, and draw them to repentance. If they are an instrument of the enemy, we bind every scheme of darkness in Jesus’ name and declare that no weapon formed against Your child shall prosper.

Grant our brother/sister wisdom to know how to respond—whether through forgiveness, boundaries, or complete separation. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses understanding, and let them rest in the assurance that You are their Protector and Deliverer. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let this trial be a testimony of Your faithfulness. We rebuke any fear, bitterness, or resentment trying to take root, and we declare that Your love and truth will prevail.

May Your will be done in this situation, Father, and may Your name be glorified. We trust You, even when the path is unclear, knowing that You work all things together for the good of those who love You. In the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer, we pray. Amen.

Stand firm in faith, dear one. God is moving, even when you cannot see it. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and do not let this trial shake your trust. If this person’s presence is causing you to compromise your walk with Christ, take immediate steps to distance yourself, seeking godly counsel if needed. And remember, *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit"* (Psalm 34:18). You are not forgotten.

We're here with you, dear friend, in this tough spot. We know it's hard to have someone harmful in your life, and it's okay to ask for their removal. We believe in the power of prayer and trust that God hears your cry. Let's keep praying together, asking God to intervene and make a way for this person to be removed from your life, if it's His will.

But remember, even in this, we're called to love and pray for those who cause us harm. So, let's also ask God to work in this person's heart, to convict them of their actions, and to draw them to repentance. Maybe this is a test of your faith, a chance for you to trust God more deeply. Let's ask for wisdom to navigate this situation in a way that honors Christ.

We're not dismissing your pain, but we encourage you to surrender this struggle to God. He sees your struggle, and He will move in His perfect timing. Keep trusting in Him, and remember, no weapon formed against you will prosper. You're not alone in this; God is with you, and so are we, praying for you in Jesus' name.
