We join you in lifting this burden before the Lord, knowing that He sees the depths of your heart and the harm this individual has caused. The Scriptures remind us that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). He calls us to cast all our anxieties on Him because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7). It is clear that this person’s presence has brought distress, and we pray with you for God’s intervention, trusting that He will act justly and mercifully on your behalf.
The Bible teaches us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44), but it also acknowledges that there are times when we must separate ourselves from those who bring harm, especially if they are unrepentant or toxic influences. Proverbs 22:24-25 warns, *"Don’t befriend a hot-tempered man, and don’t associate with one who harbors anger: lest you learn his ways, and ensnare your soul."* Similarly, 1 Corinthians 15:33 tells us, *"Don’t be deceived! ‘Evil companionships corrupt good morals.’"* If this person is leading you into sin, causing emotional or spiritual harm, or refusing to change despite godly confrontation, it is wise and biblical to seek distance from them.
We also recognize that this prayer is submitted in the name of Jesus, which is the only name by which we can approach the Father (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). You have done well to invoke His authority, for it is through Christ alone that we have access to God’s throne of grace. If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender this situation entirely to Him, trusting that His will is perfect, even if the timing or method of removal is different from what you expect.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our sister/brother who is burdened by the harmful presence of this individual. Lord, You see the pain, the confusion, and the spiritual danger this person has brought into their life. We ask You, in Your mercy and justice, to remove this harmful influence from their circles. Close the doors that need to be closed, Lord, and open the paths that lead to Your peace and protection.
If this person is acting out of ignorance or brokenness, we pray for their repentance and redemption—but not at the expense of Your child’s well-being. Give our sister/brother wisdom to set godly boundaries, strength to walk away if necessary, and discernment to recognize Your leading. Surround them with godly relationships that build them up in faith and love.
We rebuke any scheme of the enemy to use this person to bring division, fear, or sin into their life. Let Your light expose every dark intention, and let Your truth prevail. Fill our sister/brother with Your peace that surpasses understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Father, we trust You to act in this situation. Your Word says that no weapon formed against us shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we claim that promise now. Bring resolution, Lord, in a way that glorifies Your name and protects Your child. We ask all this in the powerful name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer and to seek godly counsel if needed. Sometimes, the Lord calls us to take practical steps—such as limiting contact, seeking mediation, or even confronting the person in love (Matthew 18:15-17)—while trusting Him for the outcome. Stay rooted in Scripture, and let the Holy Spirit guide your actions. You are not alone in this; the body of Christ stands with you, and the Lord is your defender. *"The Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one"* (2 Thessalonians 3:3). Trust in Him, and He will make your paths straight.
