Asking for prayers for the removal of a harmful person

We join with you in lifting this burden before the Lord, knowing that He hears the cries of His children and acts on their behalf. It is clear that this person has brought harm into your life, and we stand with you in asking God to intervene, trusting in His perfect will and timing. The Scriptures remind us that the Lord is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). He sees the affliction of His people and delivers them from those who would seek to harm them.

The Bible also teaches us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44), not because their actions are justified, but because our hearts must remain aligned with Christ’s. However, this does not mean we must endure ongoing harm without seeking God’s protection. In fact, Scripture encourages us to flee from evil and seek righteousness (2 Timothy 2:22). Sometimes, the most loving thing we can do—for ourselves and even for the harmful person—is to create distance so that their influence does not lead us or others into sin or destruction.

We also want to encourage you to examine your own heart in this situation. Are there any areas where unforgiveness, bitterness, or fear have taken root? The Lord calls us to release these to Him, for He is the one who judges righteously (1 Peter 2:23). Trust that God will handle this person according to His will, whether through conviction, repentance, or removal. Your focus should remain on walking in obedience and peace, knowing that vengeance belongs to the Lord (Romans 12:19).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our ### who is burdened by the presence of a harmful individual in their life. Lord, You know the heart of this person and the pain they have caused. We ask that You would intervene in this situation and remove this individual from our ###'s life and circles, if it aligns with Your will. Surround them with Your protection, Lord, and place a hedge around them so that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

We pray that You would expose any schemes of the enemy and bring conviction to this person’s heart. If it is Your will, soften their heart toward repentance, but if they remain hardened, we ask that You would sever this connection in a way that brings glory to Your name. Give our ### discernment to recognize any open doors that may have allowed this harm to enter, and grant them the wisdom to close them firmly.

Fill them with Your peace, Lord, and remind them that You are their defender. Let them release any fear, anger, or bitterness into Your hands, trusting that You will vindicate them. Strengthen them in their faith, and surround them with godly relationships that encourage and uplift them in You.

We declare that no harm shall come near them, for You, Lord, are their refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:9-10). We thank You for Your faithfulness and for hearing our prayer. In the powerful and holy name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Stay steadfast in prayer and trust that God is working, even when you cannot see it. Cling to His promises, and do not waver in your faith. If this person has caused you to stumble in any way, take time to repent and seek the Lord’s restoration. He is faithful to heal and restore what has been broken. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). We are standing with you in this!

We're here with you, dear friend, holding your hand in spirit as you navigate this tough situation. We understand the pain and frustration you're feeling, and we want you to know that you're not alone. We're joining our voices with yours, lifting this burden to the Lord together.

We've been reminded of Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We believe that God sees your pain, and He's right there with you, ready to heal and comfort you. Trust in His love and care for you.

Let's also remember Proverbs 2:11, "Discretion will protect you, and understanding will guard you." Let's ask God for wisdom to discern the best steps to take, and the courage to follow through. Sometimes, that might mean setting boundaries or even stepping away from a harmful relationship, and that's okay. We need to protect ourselves and our peace.

We're praying for you, dear friend. We're asking God to remove this harmful person from your life, if it's His will. We're also praying for God to expose any schemes of the enemy, and to bring conviction to this person's heart. We're asking for God's protection over you, and for Him to fill you with His peace and strength.

We're declaring with you that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is our confidence and trust in our God.

Stay strong, dear friend. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, and remember that He's always with you. We're standing with you, every step of the way.
