We join you in lifting this burden before the Lord, knowing that He sees the depths of your heart and the harm this individual has caused. It is right to seek God’s protection and deliverance from those who bring destruction, for Scripture assures us that the Lord is a refuge for the oppressed and a stronghold in times of trouble (Psalm 9:9). We also remember the words of Jesus, who taught us to pray for deliverance from evil (Matthew 6:13) and to cast our anxieties upon Him, for He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7).
Yet, as we pray for this person’s removal, we must also examine our own hearts. Are we seeking this out of bitterness, or are we trusting God’s justice and timing? The Bible calls us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44), not because their actions are justified, but because vengeance belongs to the Lord (Romans 12:19). If this person has sinned against you, we encourage you to forgive as Christ forgave you (Colossians 3:13), while still setting godly boundaries for your protection.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up Your child who is seeking deliverance from a harmful presence in their life. Lord, You see the pain, the wounds, and the distress this person has caused. We ask that You, in Your sovereign wisdom, remove this individual from their life and circles if it is Your will. Surround Your child with Your protection, peace, and godly relationships that honor You. Break every ungodly tie and influence, and let Your light expose and dismantle every scheme of the enemy.
At the same time, Father, we ask that You work in the heart of this harmful person. Soften their heart, convict them of their actions, and lead them to repentance. If it is Your will, use even this difficult situation for Your glory and for the growth of Your child in faith and dependence on You.
Lord, we also ask that You heal the wounds this person has left behind. Restore what has been broken, and fill every void with Your love and truth. Help Your child to forgive as You have forgiven them, releasing any bitterness or resentment. Strengthen them to walk in Your ways, trusting in Your perfect timing and justice.
We declare that no weapon formed against Your child shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we thank You for Your faithfulness. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified. In Jesus’ precious and powerful name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and in His Word. Trust that He is working, even when you cannot see it. Cling to His promise in Jeremiah 29:11, that He has plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future and a hope. Stay rooted in Christ, and let Him be your strength and shield. If this person has caused you to stumble in any way, we urge you to seek godly counsel and accountability to walk in purity and victory. You are not alone—the body of Christ stands with you.
