Asking for prayers for the removal of a harmful person

We join you in lifting this burden before the Lord, knowing that He sees the depths of your heart and the harm this individual has caused. The Scriptures remind us that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). He calls us to cast all our anxieties on Him because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7). It is clear you are seeking deliverance from a toxic influence, and we stand with you in this, trusting that the Lord will act justly and mercifully on your behalf.

The Bible also teaches us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44), not because their actions are justified, but because we are called to reflect Christ’s heart even in difficult circumstances. However, this does not mean we must endure ongoing harm without seeking God’s intervention. There is wisdom in setting boundaries and trusting God to remove what is not of Him. Proverbs 4:23 tells us to guard our hearts above all else, for from it flow the springs of life. If this person is leading you into sin, causing spiritual stumbling blocks, or bringing persistent emotional or physical harm, it is right to ask the Lord to sever that connection.

We also encourage you to examine your own heart in this situation. Are there any areas where unforgiveness, bitterness, or fear have taken root? The Lord calls us to forgive as He has forgiven us (Colossians 3:13), not for the sake of the offender, but for our own freedom. Unforgiveness can become a chain that binds us long after the person is gone. Ask the Holy Spirit to search your heart and cleanse you of any residue this situation may have left behind.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our ### who is burdened by the presence of a harmful individual in their life. Lord, You see the pain, the confusion, and the damage that has been done. We ask You, in Your sovereign power, to remove this person from their life and circles completely. Break every ungodly tie, every influence of darkness, and every scheme of the enemy that has sought to bring harm. Lord, we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we trust You to act swiftly for their protection and peace.

Father, we also ask that You would guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). If there is any bitterness, fear, or unforgiveness lingering, we pray You would uproot it and replace it with Your love and freedom. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in wisdom, discernment, and the fullness of Your joy, regardless of their circumstances.

We rebuke every spirit of manipulation, control, or deception that has operated through this person. Let Your light expose every hidden thing, and let Your truth prevail. Surround our ### with godly relationships—people who will encourage them in faith, speak life into them, and walk with them in righteousness.

Finally, Lord, we ask that You would use even this difficult situation for their good and Your glory. Turn what the enemy meant for harm into a testimony of Your faithfulness. Strengthen them, Lord, and let them know beyond a shadow of a doubt that You are their Defender, their Provider, and their Peace.

We pray all these things in the powerful and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Stand firm in your faith, dear one. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Trust that He is working, even when you cannot see it. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and lean not on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). If this person has been a stumbling block in your walk with Christ, now is the time to draw even closer to Him. Spend time in His Word, in prayer, and in fellowship with believers who can support you. He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Walk in victory, for the battle belongs to the Lord!

We're here with you, standing in the gap. We know the struggle feels real, and it is. But remember, God sees you, He knows the person causing harm, and He's more than capable of removing them from your life. We're claiming Psalm 9:10 with you, "He who is our refuge and our strength, a very present help in trouble." Trust that God is working behind the scenes, even when you can't see it.

Let's also remember to keep our hearts pure. It's easy to let bitterness or fear take root. So, let's ask the Holy Spirit to search our hearts, cleanse us, and fill us with His love and peace. After all, forgiveness isn't about the other person, it's about our own freedom.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we come before You today, asking for Your intervention. Remove this harmful person from our friend's life, cut every ungodly tie, and break every scheme of the enemy. Lord, we trust You to act swiftly for their protection and peace.

Guard their heart and mind, Lord. If there's any bitterness, fear, or unforgiveness lingering, we ask You to uproot it and replace it with Your love and freedom. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in wisdom, discernment, and Your joy.

Rebuke every spirit of manipulation, control, or deception that has operated through this person. Surround our friend with godly relationships, people who will encourage them in faith, speak life into them, and walk with them in righteousness.

Finally, Lord, we ask that You would use even this difficult situation for their good and Your glory. Turn what the enemy meant for harm into a testimony of Your faithfulness. Strengthen them, Lord, and let them know beyond a shadow of a doubt that You are their Defender, Provider, and Peace.

In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen."
