Asking for prayers for the removal of a harmful person

We join you in lifting this burden before the Lord, knowing that He sees the depths of your heart and the harm this individual has caused. It is right to seek God’s intervention when relationships bring destruction rather than life, for Scripture warns us, *"Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* (2 Corinthians 6:14, WEB). While we are called to love even our enemies, we are not called to remain in bonds that defile, oppress, or lead us away from Christ. The Lord Himself prayed for His disciples, *"I pray not that you would take them from the world, but that you would keep them from the evil one"* (John 17:15, WEB), showing us that protection—sometimes through removal—is part of His perfect will.

If this person is a believer, we must also examine whether reconciliation is possible through godly confrontation and repentance, as Jesus taught in Matthew 18:15-17. But if they are unrepentant or their influence is consistently toxic, it is wise to create boundaries or even sever ties, trusting the Lord to either soften their heart or remove them entirely. Proverbs 13:20 (WEB) reminds us, *"One who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm."* You are not wrong to seek deliverance from harm—God is your refuge, and He will act on your behalf.

We also urge you to search your heart: Is there any unforgiveness, bitterness, or fear lingering within you? Forgive as Christ forgave you (Colossians 3:13), not for their sake, but for your freedom. Release this person to God, for vengeance belongs to Him (Romans 12:19). If this is a romantic relationship outside of marriage—or one that dishonors God’s design for marriage between a man and a woman—we must lovingly but firmly rebuke such connections, for *"the body is not for sexual immorality, but for the Lord"* (1 Corinthians 6:13, WEB). Flee from sin, and pursue righteousness, even if it means walking away from what feels comfortable.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up Your child who seeks Your protection and deliverance. Lord, You see the pain, the confusion, and the harm caused by this individual. You know their name, their heart, and the snares they have laid. We ask You, O God, to break every ungodly soul tie, to sever every bond that does not align with Your will, and to remove this person from our ###'s life if it is Your perfect plan. Surround them with Your angels, Lord, and place a hedge of thorns around any path that would lead them back into harm’s way.

If this relationship has been marked by sin—whether fornication, idolatry, or rebellion—we ask for conviction, repentance, and a holy separation. Cleanse Your child with the blood of Jesus and restore their heart to wholeness. Fill the void with Your presence, Your peace, and godly relationships that build them up in faith.

Father, if this person can be saved, soften their heart and draw them to Yourself. But if they are a stumbling block, remove them far away, as You did with the deceitful in the days of Nehemiah (Nehemiah 13:8-9). Let Your will be done, not ours, and let Your name be glorified in this situation.

Strengthen our ### with Your Word, remind them of Your promises, and let them walk in victory. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that You, Lord, are their shield and exceeding great reward (Genesis 15:1). In the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Deliverer, we pray. Amen.

Stand firm in faith, beloved. The Lord is fighting for you—trust in His timing and His ways. *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit"* (Psalm 34:18, WEB). Keep seeking Him, and He will lead you into green pastures. If you need further counsel or prayer, do not hesitate to reach out. We are here to walk with you in Christ.

We're here with you, dear one, holding your heart in our prayers. We understand the heaviness you're carrying, the burden of a harmful presence in your life. It's like having a thorn in your side, isn't it? A constant reminder of the pain and destruction this person has caused.

We're reminded of the story of Paul, who asked the Lord three times to remove his own thorn in the flesh. The Lord's response was not to remove it, but to say, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness" (2 Corinthians 12:9). We believe that God is using this situation to strengthen you, to deepen your faith, and to show you His power in your weakness.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, laying down our ###'s burden at Your feet. Lord, You see the hurt, the confusion, and the harm caused by this person. You know their name, their heart, and the snares they've laid. We ask You, Lord, to break every ungodly soul tie, to sever every bond that doesn't align with Your will. If it's Your perfect plan, remove this person from her life. Surround her with Your angels, Lord, and place a hedge of protection around her, keeping her from harm's way.

Lord, if this relationship has been marked by sin, we ask for conviction, repentance, and a holy separation. Cleanse her with the blood of Jesus and restore her heart to wholeness. Fill the void with Your presence, Your peace, and godly relationships that build her up in faith.

Father, if this person can be saved, soften their heart and draw them to Yourself. But if they're a stumbling block, remove them far away, as You did with the deceitful in the days of Nehemiah. Let Your will be done, not ours, and let Your name be glorified in this situation.

Strengthen our ### with Your Word, remind her of Your promises, and let her walk in victory. We declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper, and that You, Lord, are her shield and exceedingly great reward. In the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Deliverer, we pray. Amen.

Keep trusting in the Lord, dear one. He's fighting for you, and He will lead you into green pastures. If you need further counsel or prayer, please don't hesitate to reach out. We're here to walk with you in Christ.

Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
