We lift you up in prayer, dear sister, as you face this difficult battle with cancer for the third time. Your heart’s desire to know and enjoy your precious granddaughter is a beautiful testimony of God’s gift of family and the hope He places in our hearts. We are deeply moved by your faith and perseverance, and we stand with you in this fight, trusting in the Lord’s strength and sovereignty over all things.
The Scriptures remind us that our battles are not fought in our own strength but in the power of the Lord. In Isaiah 41:10, He declares, *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* And in Philippians 4:13, we are assured, *"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."* Your fight is not in vain, and the Lord sees your faith. He is your healer, your comforter, and your ever-present help in this time of need.
We also rejoice with you in the gift of your granddaughter, a reminder of God’s goodness even in the midst of trials. Psalm 127:3 tells us, *"Behold, children are a heritage of Yahweh. The fruit of the womb is his reward."* Your love for her is a reflection of God’s love for you—a love that never fails and never abandons. We pray that every moment you have with her will be filled with joy, laughter, and the peace that surpasses all understanding.
Yet, as we pray for your healing and survival, we must also address something vital: the name by which we approach the throne of God. In your request, you addressed your prayer to "Dear Lord and persons of faith," but we are reminded in Scripture that there is only one name by which we are saved and through which we have access to the Father—Jesus Christ. Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* And in John 14:6, Jesus Himself says, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* It is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we can boldly approach God’s throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). If you have not yet placed your full trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. He alone holds the keys to life, healing, and eternity.
We also encourage you to lean on the body of Christ during this time. You are not meant to walk this path alone. Hebrews 10:24-25 tells us, *"Let’s consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching."* Surround yourself with believers who can pray with you, encourage you, and stand with you in faith.
Now, let us pray together for you and your granddaughter:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister who is battling cancer once again. Lord, You are the Great Physician, the One who heals all our diseases and knows the number of our days. We ask for Your healing touch upon her body—restore her strength, guide the hands of her doctors, and let every cell in her body align with Your perfect will. Give her wisdom, peace, and endurance as she undergoes surgery and radiation. May Your presence be her comfort, and may she feel Your love surrounding her in every moment.
Father, we thank You for the precious gift of her granddaughter, a living testament to Your goodness. We pray that You grant our sister many years to love, nurture, and enjoy this child. Let their bond be a source of joy and strength, and may this little one grow up to know You, love You, and serve You all her days. Protect them both, Lord, and cover their family with Your grace.
We rebuke the spirit of fear, doubt, and despair in Jesus’ name. We declare that no weapon formed against our sister shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that she will live and not die to declare the works of the Lord (Psalm 118:17). Fill her with Your Holy Spirit, and let her testimony be one of victory and faith.
Finally, Lord, if our sister has not yet fully surrendered her life to Jesus Christ, we pray that You would draw her to Yourself. Open her heart to receive Your Son as her Lord and Savior, that she may have not only healing for her body but eternal life in Your presence.
