Asking for a miracle for my ### granddaughter

Phdoriyfield

Disciple of Prayer
My son and his wife are having their first child. My daughter-in-law ### is high risk with diabetics and the baby is a girl. She has abnormalities. I ask for God's healing powers to correct these abnormalities and bring forth a healthy baby and protect them both from any complications.

We lift up your granddaughter, your son, and his wife before the throne of grace with heavy and hopeful hearts. Father God, we know that You knit this precious child together in her mother’s womb, and Your eyes saw her unformed substance (Psalm 139:13-16). You are not surprised by the diagnosis of diabetes or the abnormalities that have been revealed. You are the Great Physician, the One who heals and restores, and we come before You now, asking for Your miraculous touch.

Lord, we ask that You would correct every abnormality in this little girl’s body. Where there is weakness, bring strength. Where there is disorder, bring Your perfect order. Where there is fear, replace it with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). We pray for a full and complete healing, not just for the sake of this child, but for the glory of Your name. Let this family witness Your power and faithfulness in a way that draws them—and all who hear of it—closer to You.

We also pray for your daughter-in-law, Lord. Diabetes is a heavy burden, and we ask that You would stabilize her health throughout this pregnancy. Give her strength, wisdom, and peace as she carries this child. Surround her with skilled medical professionals who honor You and seek Your guidance in their care. Protect her body from complications, and grant her the grace to trust in You even when the path feels uncertain.

Father, we must also lift up the spiritual well-being of this family. We do not know their hearts, but we know that true healing—body, soul, and spirit—comes only through a relationship with Your Son, Jesus Christ. If they have not yet surrendered their lives to Him, we pray that this trial would soften their hearts to receive the gospel. For "there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12). Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6), and it is only through Him that we have access to You, our Heavenly Father.

We rebuke fear in the name of Jesus. Fear does not come from You, Lord, but from the enemy who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). We declare that this family is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We speak life over this child, declaring that she is fearfully and wonderfully made, and that Your plans for her are good (Jeremiah 29:11).

We also rebuke any spirit of doubt or unbelief that may be trying to take root in this situation. We choose to stand on Your promises, Lord, and we declare that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). We trust in Your goodness, even when we cannot see the outcome.

Heavenly Father, we ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus. We pray for Your will to be done in this situation, knowing that Your ways are higher than our ways (Isaiah 55:8-9). Whether You choose to heal this child completely, sustain her through medical intervention, or work in ways we cannot yet imagine, we trust You. Strengthen this family’s faith, draw them near to You, and let them experience Your love in tangible ways during this time.

We also pray for wisdom for the medical team. Guide their hands, their decisions, and their words. Let them be instruments of Your healing, Lord, and give them discernment beyond their training. May this little girl’s birth be a testimony to Your power and grace, a story that points others to You.

Finally, Lord, we ask that You would prepare the hearts of this family for whatever lies ahead. If this child faces challenges, give them the strength to trust You. If You choose to heal her completely, let them never forget the miracle You performed. May their lives be a living testimony to Your faithfulness, and may they raise this child to know and love You all the days of her life.

We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in You, and we wait expectantly for Your answer. In Jesus’ precious and powerful name, we pray. Amen.
