Ashely

We join with you in lifting up ### before the throne of grace and we also lift you up as you seek to help her with a heart that wants to do what is right. We hear the heaviness of her situation with no job, no car, no money, and with her family gone, and we hear your cry for wisdom to help her well.

We take comfort that God sees ### in this desperate season. He is close to those who feel alone and abandoned. Psalm 68:5 says, A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God in his holy habitation. Psalm 46:1 reminds us, God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Though her earthly family is gone, she is not forgotten by her Creator, and He is able to provide for her needs. Philippians 4:19 assures us, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

We also hear your prayer to God and we want to gently encourage you about the way we come to the Father. You asked God to help you, and we agree, yet we want to remind you that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God and salvation. John 14:6 says, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Acts 4:12 says, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already placed your trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we encourage you to do so, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and calling upon His name. It is in His name that our prayers are heard.

We pray for wisdom for you, for God delights to give it when we ask. James 1:5 says, But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. We ask the Lord to give you clear discernment to help ### in a way that truly helps her to stand on her own and to know Christ, rather than creating dependency. Proverbs 19:17 says, He who has pity on the poor lends to Yahweh, he will repay him. Galatians 6:2 says, Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. Yet we are also called to be good stewards and to help with accountability and boundaries.

We encourage you to not carry this burden alone. Bring your church family and trusted godly counsel into this situation so that ### can be surrounded by a community of support, not just one person. Help her to connect with practical resources for work, perhaps through your local church, and encourage her to seek the Lord for her new life, for He can make her new in Christ. If you are a man helping ### as a single woman, we encourage you to maintain clear and pure boundaries and accountability. We believe that any relationship between a man and a woman should be conducted in purity, with any courtship moving toward marriage to a fellow believer in Christ, and that sex outside of marriage is fornication and not God's will. Helping her as a brother in Christ, with others involved, will protect both of you and keep your testimony above reproach.

We now pray together.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up ### to You. You see her struggle with no job, no car, and no provision, and You know the grief of losing her family. We ask You to be her refuge and provider, to open doors for work and provision, to give her hope for this new life, and most of all to draw her to Yourself so she may know You as Father and Savior. Provide for her daily bread and surround her with Your people who will love her and point her to Christ.

We also lift up the one who desires to help her. Grant him wisdom liberally, give him discernment to know how to help in a way that honors You, protects purity, and truly builds her up. Lead him to godly counsel and to not grow weary in doing good. Help him to trust You with all his heart and not lean on his own understanding, as Proverbs 3:5-6 teaches, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

We ask all of this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and mediator, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Thank you for bringing ### before the Lord and for wanting to help her wisely. To face the death of her family while also having no job, no car and no money is a lot to carry at once, and starting over can feel overwhelming for both of you.

We admire that you asked for wisdom instead of trying to rush to fix everything. Often the most helpful thing is to listen first and let her name what feels most urgent to her right now. Is it work, transportation, a safe place to stay, or simply having someone to grieve with. Choosing one small next step together can keep you both from feeling buried.

You do not have to do this alone. If you can, help her connect with steady local support, a trusted church that offers benevolence or job ministry, a community job center, or a financial counselor who can help with budgeting and next steps. Even going with her to one appointment can make a difference. And keep checking in over time, that ongoing presence matters as much as any single resource.

Father, we lift ### to You in Jesus name. You see her loss and her needs and her desire for a new beginning. Give her comfort in her grief and daily provision, and give our friend wisdom, patience and the right helpers to come alongside her. Lead them both to the next good step and let them know You are near. In Jesus name, amen.

Your burden for ### has been brought before the Lord and before His people, and we join you in prayer for her and for yourself as you seek to help her.

You have asked for wisdom, and that is the very thing to ask. Wisdom is man's true compass across the trackless waste of life, and where shall it be found. Scripture answers that Christ Himself is the power of God and the wisdom of God, and if any man lack wisdom let him ask of God who gives liberally. It is only when the grace of God softens and sobers us that we begin to dream that we need a guide, and you have done well to seek that Guide.

The Lord guides His people not only by sudden impressions but by great principles infused in the heart. One is to avoid everything that is evil, another is bowing with submission to the will of God, for by that very fact we are furnished with unerring guidance. Divine Wisdom is not harsh or unfeeling but dressed in robes of love and tenderness, and invites us to run into her arms. Remember also that haste is the author of a great deal of mischief in human life, and holiness is as near akin to perfect wisdom as sin is to insanity. Therefore seek to help ### steadily and prayerfully, not in haste, but in holiness and love.

We are moved by her condition, without work, without provision, without family, and seeking to start a new life. Our Lord Jesus knows this poverty well. Though He was rich, yet for our sakes He became poor, that we through His poverty might be rich. He knew hunger and weariness and having nowhere to lay His head, and even poverty in reputation and in communion when He was forsaken for our sake. He is not unable to sympathize, and He makes all things new. When God deals with a soul in grace He gives a new chronology, a new beginning, so that old things pass away and all things become new. He brings forth the best last and lifts the poor from hunger to feasting. We pray that He will do this for ###, that this trying season would become the springtime of a new life in Christ.

For you who would help her, true wisdom will lead you to point her first to the Savior, for without Christ we have no lasting riches, and with Him we have all things. Then, in practical love, help her as you are able through the local church, godly counsel, and honest labor. Help her to seek work, to find safe community, to be connected to believers who can walk with her, and to trust the Lord day by day. Give what you can with discernment, lest help given in haste should harm rather than heal, and do all with courtesy and tenderness as befits Divine Wisdom.

Let us pray together.

O Lord our God, You are rich in mercy and wisdom, and there is none like You for goodness and love. We bring ### before Your throne of grace. You see her loss, her poverty, her desire to begin anew. Have mercy upon her, comfort her in her bereavement, provide for her daily bread, open a door for honest work, and above all draw her to Jesus Christ Your Son, through whom alone is salvation. Make her rich toward You, and give her a new life indeed, a life hidden with Christ.

And Father, grant to this intercessor the wisdom so earnestly desired. Give knowledge and discretion and a submissive heart to Your will, that every step taken to help may be ordered by You and honoring to You. Keep both from evil and lead them in the path of holiness, which is the path of true wisdom.

We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, who became poor that we might be rich, and who is our wisdom, our righteousness, and our hope. Amen.
