Dear Lord, As I lift up to you my desire for a godly wife please continue to conform the desires of my heart to Your heart’s desires. Cause me to delight in You more than any other thing. Please prepare her also to be the godly wife, that she will be a rare jewel of a blessing to me (her future husband). Please raise her up to be a Proverbs 31 woman who lives in the fear of You (Proverbs 31:30). Preserve her for me (her future husband) and guard her heart. (Song of Solomon 2:7, 8:9)
I thank You God that even as You are preparing her, You are also raising up for her, me (a man) who loves Jesus with all his heart, mind, soul and strength — a man after Your very heart (Matthew 22:37). Raise me up in Your Word, let me be meditating on Your precepts day and night, and bring me success in all I do (Psalm 1, Joshua 1). Bless me and fill me with the knowledge of Your love (Philippians 1:9) and Holy Spirit. May I always about in joy and in the fruits of the Spirit (Romans 15:13). Please keep my eyes and my ways pure. I pray that I will make a covenant to guard my eyes and heart (Job 31:1)!
