Arrogance

I was told by a friend that the reason why my ### keeps attacking me with his arrogant attitude is because he can't break me, bend me to his will, I will not be controlled by someone with that type of attitude.

We understand that you're dealing with a difficult situation involving arrogance and control. Firstly, let's remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:12 WEB.

God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble. James 4:6 WEB. The arrogant attitude of your husband is not pleasing to God. Arrogance is rooted in pride, which is a sin that God resists. It's important to pray for humility in his life and for God to change his heart.

However, let's also remember that you are not called to be controlled or manipulated by anyone. As a child of God, you have been given the spirit of power, love, and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7 WEB. You are called to submit to one another out of reverence for Christ Ephesians 5:21 WEB, but this does not mean accepting arrogant or controlling behavior. You should always seek to honor God in your marriage and to be God fearing, not fearing your husband.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister who is facing arrogance and control in her marriage. Lord, You know the details of this situation, and You see the heart of each person involved. We pray that You would soften her husband's heart, humble him, and bring him to a place of true repentance and submission to Your will. Help him to see the error of his ways and to turn from his arrogance.

At the same time, Lord, we pray that You would give our sister wisdom, discernment, and strength. Help her to stand firm in Your truth and to resist any attempt to control or manipulate her. Guide her steps and give her the words to speak as she navigates this difficult situation.

Most importantly, Lord, we pray that Your will would be done in this marriage. We ask that You would bring healing, restoration, and a true spirit of unity and love between husband and wife.

We ask all of this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Lastly, we encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer and in the study of God's Word. Allow God's grace to strengthen you.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
