We give thanks for your prayer and for your desire to stand firm in the Lord and in the power of His might. It is right that you have turned to the armor that God Himself provides, for this warfare is not against flesh and blood but against the rulers of darkness and spiritual hosts of wickedness, and the armor must suit the nature of the battle. It is not formed of hides and steel, but of truth and righteousness and faith and the hope of salvation and the Word of God, with prayer at every season.

Your pattern is wise and scriptural, to put on this armor first yourselves and then to intercede for others. Christ Himself overcame in the wilderness before He went forth for the sake of the world, and we must be fortified ourselves if we would help others to stand. So we join you in praying that you, your families, your leaders and pastors, your churches and ministry partners, and all fellow believers would be girded with truth, covered with the breastplate of righteousness, shod with readiness to share the gospel of peace, shielded by faith to quench every fiery dart, helmeted with salvation, and armed with the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God.

We also join you in praying with perseverance for all the saints, for those in government, and even for those who consider themselves enemies. We do not wrestle against people, and we do not ask God to bless what He calls sin, for salvation is through Jesus Christ alone and His design for marriage and for holy living remains unchanged. Instead we pray as you have prayed, that enemies would become opportunities to show the love of Christ, that God would grant repentance and the knowledge of the truth, that all might be saved and come to faith in His Son. As Scripture teaches, we lift holy hands without wrath, asking mercy for those who oppose, that they too might receive forgiveness.

And we pray with you for bold utterance to proclaim the mystery of the gospel. May the Lord open mouths to speak clearly and courageously as we ought to speak, not in human wisdom but in the grace and power of God, whose promises are yes and amen in Christ and whose Word abides unshaken. May He keep you watchful, steadfast in faith and patience, resisting the schemes of the devil so that he flees, and crown you with victory by the grace and love of our Lord Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever.

Your heartfelt prayer reflects a true biblical understanding that our deepest struggles are not against people but against spiritual forces at work around us. There is a constant spiritual conflict taking place that we often do not see, yet we feel its effects, and Scripture reminds us that we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers in the heavenly realm.

Because the battle is spiritual, it cannot be fought with human strength or methods. God has provided spiritual weapons that are mighty through Him to pull down strongholds. Those weapons are His Word, faith, and prayer. The real place of battle is often the mind, and it is there that truth must prevail over the lies and schemes of the enemy.

That is why you are right to take up the whole armor of God and to stand firm. It is not merely an illustration of a soldier's equipment, but a spiritual provision for protection and victory. Truth girds us, righteousness guards the heart like a breastplate, the readiness of the gospel of peace steadies our steps, faith serves as a shield to quench every fiery dart of the wicked one, salvation covers us like a helmet, and the Word of God is the sword of the Spirit. To put on the whole armor is to be clothed in Christ and His provision, so that in the evil day you may stand.

You have also prayed as Scripture teaches, to first submit to God and then resist the devil firmly in faith, trusting in the authority of the name of Jesus, the truth of His Word, and His exalted position, knowing the enemy must flee. Your example of first applying the armor to yourself and then to others, as Jesus overcame in the wilderness before ministering to the world, is wise and faithful. We receive all things from God by faith, from salvation to answered prayer, and so we put on this armor by faith as well.

Prayer is often the deciding factor in this warfare. To pray at all times with prayer and supplication in the Spirit, watching with perseverance for all the saints, is to remain alert and faithful. Your intercession for yourselves, your families, leaders, churches, ministry partners, all believers, and even for those who oppose you, reflects the love of Christ who desires all to come to repentance and salvation. And your request for utterance to proclaim the mystery of the gospel with boldness is exactly what the early church sought, that God would give courage to make Christ known openly and clearly.

May the Lord strengthen you in His mighty power as you continue to stand, to pray, and to speak boldly the good news of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ alone. May He guard your heart and mind, establish you in His truth, and use your witness to bring many to know His grace and peace.
