Are You Still Confident In Gods Promises?

Are You Still Confident In Gods Promises?

Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. Hebrews 10:35

God’s promises are meant to build us up in Him. We are to claim His Word as the rock-solid promise of a loving, powerful Father to His children. Yet, often, when we don’t see His Word being fulfilled according to our schedules, the enemy floods our minds with questions about God’s faithfulness.

Satan’s aim is simple: it is to rob us of all our confidence in the Lord.

I’m convinced the devil has raised all kinds of doubt in the Children of God. His goal is to sow seeds of doubt in us about God’s Word, Gods promises to us, God delighting His self in His children. The enemy isn't whispering, he is shouting: “You say your heavenly Father is a God of miracles, a God of the impossible, that He hears your requests before you even ask. Then why all this suffering? Why all the silence from heaven? Why isn’t there a single shred of evidence that God has heard your cry?

One sure evidence that unbelief has taken root in your soul is that you quit praying for what you once believed God could do for you. You no longer bring your burdens to Him in faith. In short, you’re no longer willing to let Him do things His way in your life. You've become impatient with your all wise God, and started listening to reason which Satan has sown in your mind and in your heart.

There is a sure remedy for this situation you have found yourself in. Repent, and quit listening to reason and the enemy of your soul, get back in Gods word and hold to His truth alone. Be sober minded and quit staggering in Satan's lies.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you. Philippians 4:6-9 ESV.

Thank you Don and may God bless both you and MerciMe. Isn't it strange to think Satan studies each of us and knows our own individual weaknesses? What's a temptation for one believer is not for another believer..... Yet unbelief in God's promises or unbelief in what God thinks of us, is at the base. Your message is timely and welcomed. Thank you again.
