ARE YOU SEEKING
THE PRINCE OF PEACE?
THE PRINCE OF PEACE?
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6
Are you seeking the Prince of Peace every day as you pray for restoration of your marriage? Do you have peace in your family right now? My prayer for you this Lord's Day and the last few days before Christmas is that you will seek to have God's peace in your home and with your family as you prepare your heart and home for Christmas. This Christmas believe that you can start to have "peace on earth" because the Prince of Peace, Jesus, was born on Christmas. Do you know Jesus Christ as the Prince of Peace in your heart this year? Have you had your heart touched and transformed by the Prince of Peace? Let the Prince of Peace give you His gift of peace this Christmas, in fact, right now.
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men!" Luke 2:13-14 (NKJV)
Will you start now to seek to have peace in the midst of any storm that you are facing, because of the Prince of Peace who was born? He was born to bring peace to His people. You are a child of a King. He is the Prince of Peace and He can be your Counselor for every problem. Ask Him what you should do. Wait for His answer. Believe in His power, His benefits and your inheritance. Never forget who you are in Christ. Know your authority as a child of a King. Throughout the Bible we read about seeking God's peace. This Christmas will you seek the GIVER who wants you to receive His gift of peace?
Let me share some scriptures in the Bible that talk about this peace that you can have in your heart IF you will surrender your heart, your will and your ways to the Prince of Peace, Jesus.
Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me - put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you. Philippians 4:9
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Colossians 3:15
If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Romans 12:18
Your spouse or loved ones who are living in darkness do not have the peace that the Prince of Peace gives you and me. They are living in constant turmoil, in commotion or strife, what many would call living in torment. Let us pray that this Christmas; your spouse will seek peace from their Savior and Lord, praying that the Holy Spirit will become the greatest Savior, Lord, Counselor, and Friend for your husband/wife and for your whole family.
Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it. Psalm 34:14
There is victory, with our Lord Jesus Christ giving us peace. Our Lord God can fix our problems or messes that we have made. There is no perfect spouse, so pray that your spouse will realize that you both can start rebuilding your home with unconditional love and forgiveness with God as the Architect. Stand firm in your faith, walking in peace with your Lord, waiting for Him to bring your spouse home at His perfect timing. Here are two more promises for you to believe and receive in your heart:
"But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." John 14:26-27
"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble. But take heart I have overcome the world." John 16:33
Do you know the Christmas song, I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day? As you prepare to go worship your Lord today, may this song sing in your heart and mind. It is the perfect song for you this year:
I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day
I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day
Their old familiar carols play,
And wild and sweet the words repeat
Of peace on earth, good will to men.
I thought how, as the day had come,
The belfries of all Christendom
Had rolled along the unbroken song
Of peace on earth, good will to men.
And in despair I bowed my head:
"There is no peace on earth," I said,
"For hate is strong and mocks the song
Of peace on earth, good will to men."
Then pealed the bells more loud and deep:
"God is not dead, nor doth he sleep;
The wrong shall fail, the right prevail,
With peace on earth, good will to men."

We all believe in the power of the Lord and we believe in miracles, so let's pray that the Lord will go and bring thousands of husbands and wives, Moms and Dads, home this Christmas!
