Are You Being Sifted As Wheat?

We are in the midst of a very real war! Your facing evil powers like never before, they are fighting against your faith. You are

fighting against the father of lies. He is the one who has planted all those little thoughts in your mind: “Where is your God? Things are going from bad to worse. Your pain, suffering and needs keep mounting. God has promised to make a way of escape for you. So where is your God now, especially when you need Him the most?” Does all this sound familiar to you?

Your faith is now being shaken and sifted. And in the midst of it all, your faith seems to be dwindling. I have good news for you: God is not mad at you. There is purpose in these trials.

You may ask: “Doesn’t Jesus grieve when we don't place our faith in Him, when we waver and question His Word and His faithfulness?” Yes absolutely He does. But those of you who's faith is dwindling, keep your eyes fixed on Jesus. Our Lord is very patient and merciful. He hears all our murmurings and questionings, He sees so many doubtful thoughts in our minds, and yet He looks upon us with forgiveness and compassion as we see in (Hebrews 4:15) For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Remember Jesus knows all and can see the end from the beginning.

Let's take a look at Peters life, and what Jesus said to him in (Luke 22:31-34)

31 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:

32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.

33 And he said unto him, Lord, I am ready to go with Thee, both into prison, and to death.

34 And He said, I tell thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, before that thou shalt thrice deny that thou knowest Me.

Yes Peter denied the Lord but he was restored and lived out a great life of faith. Remember, Jesus had given him this word of encouragement at Passover: “When thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren” (Luke 22:32). This is the Lord’s word for you and for me, as well. He tells us just as He told Peter, “Keep your eyes on Me. You are going to come through this. And you’re going to help your brothers and sisters in the faith.”

Later, in ( Acts 12:1-10), we find Peter locked up in an inner prison. An angel comes to him, shakes off his chains, and tells him to get up and leave. At that point, Peter never looked at the impossibilities around him: the iron gates he had to go through, the many guards he had to pass by. Instead, Peter rises in faith at the angel’s instruction, and when he came to the iron gates, they open of their own accord. He was freed from his bondage to do just as Jesus had said, He was a encouragement and a example to his brothers and sisters.

So it will be for you and I, dear saint, if we are willing to get up and move out in faith. That sifting has a higher purpose as we can see in (1 Peter 5:10) But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, establish, strengthen, settle you.

After horrible day yesterday and spent most the night wondering how much more can I endure; this message hit the right spot brother Don. Nothing happens to me unless God allows it to happen and if allows it is for my good, He knows what's best for me I don't. Going through a pruning season for my developing as a useful vessel for His honor and glory. As painful at times, I need to understand that He is control so I can rest in the most uncomfortable of places knowing that. Romans 8:28 comes to mind, so we all need to write it in the tablets of our heart that "all things" not most but "all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose". Thanks brother Don, you and your family are always in my prayers and keep me in yours as I pursue this nursing career for the honor and glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. Thanks Don God bless you and family.

It is so and so be it. To have faith is to be sure of the things we hope for, to be certain of things we cannot see. Hebrews 11.1. So true and very inspiring Brother Don thank you very much this may our Good Lord bless you and yours in abundance In Jesus name I pray Amen

Dear Don, It is so great to see you back online sending us inspiration to uplift us in troubling times in our personal lives.

Yes, we are all surrounded by temptation and being provoked by Evil to disrupt our lives and our relationship with Our Lord. We all come to a point in our lives to question. Why, then realize Our Lord never left us but is waiting for us to call upon him. Prayer is needed more and more on a personal level. Praying for one another brings us even closer to God, by helping us to develop a relationship with God. We can discuss our problems, sickness, needs, and give thanks. God sends us messages through our dreams, other people, in readings, church messages from our church leaders, even our kids. In prayer we develop a closer relationship with God, We can ask questions, but know in due time we will receive an answer, just like our parents that want us to work things out for selves. The shield of God will surround us through the Holy Spirit to protect us from all outside Evil forces that try to take over our Minds and Body! God can lead us to the path but we have the choice to do right our wrong. Evil hold in temptation is so strong. The power of God and our believe in God will give us the courage and knowledge to lead a good clean life for God and give us peace in our own life. The saying THE POWER In PRAYER is so true! Evil will not hang with us. We pray for you always my friend for your health and for PEACE in our lives and mind. God Bless you!

Amen and Amen My darlin husband. You know I have said so many times I do not know how anyone that does not know the Lord is making it at this time. Only the Lord is able to keep and deliver His children and He does it so perfectly on a daily basis and we can testify to that fact. Glory to God!
