Are You Battling Fear?

ARE YOU BATTLING FEAR?
This poor man called, and the LORD heard him; he saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them. Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him. Fear the LORD, you his saints, for those who fear him lack nothing. The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing. Come, my children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD. Psalm 34:6-11

What are you battling in your mind? Are you fearful of your future? Are you afraid of the responsibility that has been thrown on you without any choice? Are you afraid of future court proceedings? Are you afraid that you may have to sell your home and move in the future? Are you afraid of how your children are going to handle all the changes that are happening with their mom or dad not at home? Are you afraid of your employment being inadequate for all your expenses? Are you afraid of being alone? Are you afraid that your Lord God might not restore your marriage? Who is attacking you with all these fears? The battle is in your mind and the enemy wants to torment you every day!

When I am afraid, I will trust in you. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can mortal man do to me?...Then my enemies will turn back when I call for help. By this I will know that God is for me. In God, whose word I praise, in the Lord, whose word I praise - in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me? Psalm 56:3-4, 9-11

This week I pray that you will ask the Lord to remove all your fears, doubts and unbeliefs and that you will choose to walk in faith, trusting in the Lord for all things.

Let those who fear the LORD say: “His love endures forever.†In my anguish I cried to the LORD, and he answered by setting me free. The LORD is with me; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me? The LORD is with me; he is my helper. I will look in triumph on my enemies. It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in man. It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in princes. Psalm 118:4-9

Do not be afraid! God is in control of your life. Whatever happens has been filtered through the mighty hands of God. Throughout the Bible we read the phrase, “Do not be afraid.†The enemy is attacking your emotions and feelings with fear, so start speaking one or two scriptures about fear and tell the enemy to leave you alone in the Name of Jesus! I love speaking out and personalizing 1 John 4:4b all the time:

...He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. 1John 4:4 (NKJV)

Do not allow the enemy to give you the spirit of fear because of all your problems. Your Lord is greater than Satan will ever be! You need to be trusting, loving and leaning on the Lord. Love casts out all fear.

The LORD is my light and my salvation - whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life- - of whom shall I be afraid? When evil men advance against me to devour my flesh, when my enemies and my foes attack me, they will stumble and fall. Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then will I be confident. One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple. Psalm 27:1-4

May you always remember that the Lord has His plan for you, your family and marriage. Are you following your Lord on the narrow road? Have you started reading Psalm 91 regularly? Please read it once a day and in a short time you will know Psalm 91 in your heart, that God is your refuge, your fortress and your shield. You do not need to be afraid when God is your Protector. Imagine your Lord protecting you! Seek the Lord and He will calm all your fears.

“Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.†So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?†Hebrews 13:5b-6

I know that your beloved spouse may have left home because they have fallen into adultery or they may be battling alcohol, drugs, gambling or other addictions. Today and every day pray that your beloved husband or wife will hear, listen and obey the Lord's instructions in being delivered and set free from the bondages of sin. I pray that your spouse will cry out and ask the Lord to help them escape from their prison of sin that they are living in. Let us pray that the Lord will touch and remove their hardened heart, their stubbornness, their selfishness and all rebellion that is in their life. The Lord is the only one who can transform your spouse or any person. That is why praying and fasting are two of the spiritual weapons that God uses to remove your mountains of circumstances.

Throughout the Bible, we read about men of God who had to choose to be afraid or believe and trust in their Lord God. Moses faced the Egyptians. Joshua had to lead two million people into the Promised Land with giants. David faced Goliath. The stories are endless of our Lord God showing His faithfulness to His children. Choose to handle your fears with faith. Do not be afraid. Have faith, trust and confidence in your God.

Sometimes fear can immobilize you. One remedy to fear is - don't focus on the fear or your problem; instead put your focus on your Lord. Is the Lord asking you to read the Bible more, pray scriptures more, learn about spiritual warfare, put more discipline in your life or maybe other things? Many times God expects us to put action into His commands. How big is your God? My God can do anything! Believe in His mighty power. Take some time and read all the “do not be afraid†scriptures in the Bible. It will increase your faith!

After this, the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision: “Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your very great reward.†Genesis 15:1

Be honest with yourself. Get rid of all the fear that the enemy has been tormenting you with. Tell “fear†to be gone - in the name of Jesus! As you read the Bible you will learn about and see God's love and faithfulness. You can face your problems with confidence in your Lord God rather than with fear. Learn to depend and rely on God daily. As you acknowledge and believe in God's mighty power, fear will not torment you. Let's get rid of “all†your fears! Give every fear to your Lord God and allow Him to solve and remove them one by one!

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27

God bless,

It may sound strange, but as Christians, in particular, submission is our most powerful weapon. The key to victory, when warring against a real enemy, is not only that we properly identify the enemy, but we must first know to whom we are to submit, and what that submission looks like. What is...
