Are we supposed to be happy every minute of every day?

A lot of Christians think if we're anything less than deliriously happy every minute of every day of our lives it's a sin. But does God really see it that way,and does the Bible really state that?.For example, if a Christian goes to the funeral of an unsaved loved one,{and knowing that the person will be in the Lake of Fire for ever--while others are mourning, is the Christian supposed to start running up and down the aisles shaking a tambourine and celebrating, to prove their "happiness" that their loved one is in hell? You see what I mean, in some cases, certain emotions are out of context with the situation. If we go to minister to a nation with a famine, if a kid expresses discomfort that he's starving, are we supposed to scold him because he should jump up and dance around the room with happiness because of the situation?Let's see what the Bible ACTUALLY says...are there other emotions than happiness mentioned in the Bible, and are people considered sinning when they feel them? The Bible says,"weeping endureth for a night, but joy comes in the morning'.{But the fact that it endured for the night shows that the Bible acknowledges that other emotions exist besides over the top happiness.}"Let the sun not go down on your anger'.{And there is a type of righteous anger, like when Jesus overturned the table of the moneychangers in the synagogue.}So, what of the other emotions? Does God understand,, having created us, that we have a range of emotions, and with changing circumstances, different emotions might be triggered? And that we all have different temperaments?I think God understands that, better than some Christians who tell you you're sinning if you show emotions other than happiness, like grief at the funeral of an unsaved loved one.Like if your dentist tells you you have to get root canal, but he ran out of novocaine,do you mean to tell me that you should jump out of the chair and dance for joy, because the dentist will do a root canal without novocaine? And condemn another Christian who doesn't react that way? Come on...

No, I can't believe you that you're not in a state of perpetual extreme euphoria. Not you!!You seem like a happy go lucky person.

I am most of the time Steven but there are times that I'm not. Imagine having God talk to you and show you things just like He did to others in the Bible, having the Clouds or the Waters speak to you by showing you things like Jesus did for Hezekiah, Daniel and Paul. Having God flash the whole Bible before your eyes in an instant giving you a new sense of His purpose. We are all a part of each other Steven and what we know is a gift from Jesus and we are to share what we have been taught, being set free from doing the things that are instructed of us. Believing in Jesus is just a beginning yet following Jesus is what leads us to the end and following Jesus is doing what He gives us for instructions in the Bible. Years ago, I would have been like, ya Steven Bobb, you go but I was miserable then Steven. Once I learned to stop thinking about myself my life changed to pretty close to how you just described me. I get up in the morning and I'm excited to get on here and share what Jesus does and did for me. If we believe and know that Jesus has said we are healed by His stripes than what need do we have to go to a physical doctor when Jesus is our doctor? If we believe that we are at peace with the beasts of the field than what need is there to have a weapon when we can speak; beast in Jesus we are at peace with each other? Early Christians may not have realized nor had been told that they were at peace with the beasts of the field as it is listed in Job as well as other parts of the Bible yet if we didn't read it nor study the Bible than how would we know? There was a prophet that didn't do exactly what God had asked of him by not eating, not talking with anyone and a lion killed him but God didn't tell Him that he was at peace with the beasts of the field. I'm not perfect but I know how to speak in Jesus to have a hedge of protection around me so that problems and turmoils that used to happen to me don't happen any longer. The things you think can happen to you by not thinking about yourself actually would stop happening or happen a lot less often. The devil doesn't like to bother someone who is going to count what he does as joy in Jesus or not even give it a thought Steven :)

The teachings and instructions are there in the Bible and honestly I didn't understand how to take no thought for my life at first but I was brought to a place where I had no choice but to do them and now I can't think of any other way and sharing those things is a big part of following Jesus until the end :)

Thought you were a naturally happy person.2}A reason I would get irritated with you is I thought you were minimizing the things I post about, or even implying I'm imagining it.
