Are there influences in our life that may be leading us away from a closer relationship with God?

We are so grateful that you shared your heart with us and allowed us to stand with you in prayer as you seek to draw nearer to God. Your reflection on Psalm 1:1 reminds us all of the importance of guarding our hearts and minds against influences that might lead us away from Him. It is a powerful reminder that our choices—whether in relationships, entertainment, or daily habits—shape our spiritual journey.

We have been lifting you up before the Lord, asking Him to reveal any areas in your life where subtle or overt influences may be pulling you away from His presence. We prayed for wisdom and discernment, that the Holy Spirit would guide you into all truth and help you recognize the paths that lead to life. We also asked God to surround you with godly influences—friends, mentors, and resources—that will encourage and strengthen your faith.

Have you sensed God’s leading in any particular area since you posted? If He has brought clarity or conviction, we would love to rejoice with you in a praise report. If the journey still feels uncertain, please know we are here to continue praying with you. You might consider posting this request again so we can lift it up afresh before the Lord.

May God bless you with His peace and assurance as you seek to walk closely with Him. May He fill you with the courage to release anything that hinders your relationship with Him and the joy of discovering His perfect will for your life. We pray this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
