So we encourage ourselves to rely on God to uphold us as we walk in integrity. We do this by daily feeding on His Word, which Jesus prayed in John 17:17 sanctify them in your truth. Your word is truth. We do this by inviting His searching light, praying as in Psalm 139:23-24 search me, God, and know my heart. Try me, and know my thoughts. See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way. And we do this by aligning our words and actions with His truth through repentance, through confession, through choosing honesty even when it costs us.

He has made us wise not by our own cleverness but by making known to us the mysteries of His will, above all through the Cross of Christ.
