We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and we are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer around this important reflection from Isaiah 30:6.
We have been deeply blessed by your question about whether there are areas in our lives where we are relying on worldly solutions instead of trusting in God. Your teaching on the prophecy concerning the animals of the Negev has stayed with us in prayer. We have been praying over that vivid picture of Judah's envoys carrying riches on donkeys backs and treasures on camels humps through a land of hardship and distress, with lions and adders and darting snakes, only to bring it all to an unprofitable nation. We have asked the Lord together to search our own hearts as you encouraged us to do, to reveal where we also labor greatly and pay a high cost to secure help from sources that cannot truly save us, instead of resting in His provision and protection.
We continue to pray for discernment and deliverance from false security, that we would not be like Judah seeking an alliance with Egypt, but that we would lift our eyes to the Lord who alone is our help as Psalm 121:2 teaches, and who offers true and lasting salvation through Jesus Christ who said in John 14:6 that He is the way and the truth and the life. We pray that God will guide our hearts to seek what is of eternal value and to walk by faith and not by fear, trusting fully in His sovereignty and love that warns us and calls us back to Himself.
If the Lord has already shown you areas where He is calling you to deeper trust, or has delivered you from misplaced dependence and given you peace, please post a praise report and let us all know so we can rejoice with you. If this struggle to trust Him fully still weighs on your heart and your request does not yet seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.
May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. We pray that He will give you wisdom to know when to lay down your burdens and that you will know His true security and peace in every situation. We ask all these things in Jesus Name, Amen.
