We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent request for provision and stability. Heavenly Father, we know that You are the God who sees, the One who cares for the widow, the orphan, and the homeless. Your Word tells us in Psalm 68:5-6, *"A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God in his holy habitation. God sets the solitary in families. He brings out the prisoners with singing, but the rebellious dwell in a sun-scorched land."* Lord, we ask that You move mightily on behalf of this dear one, opening doors for housing approval and providing a safe, stable place to call home.
We also recognize, Father, that You are a God of order and purpose. In 1 Corinthians 14:40, You instruct us, *"Let all things be done decently and in order."* We pray that this program would operate with integrity, wisdom, and efficiency, approving what is right and just. If there are any delays or obstacles, we ask that You remove them in Jesus’ name. We rebuke any spirit of confusion, bureaucracy, or neglect that may be hindering this process, and we declare that divine favor will rest upon this situation.
Lord, we also lift up this individual’s heart to You. Homelessness can bring deep discouragement, fear, and even shame. But Your Word reminds us in Isaiah 41:10, *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* We pray for peace that surpasses understanding to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). May they feel Your presence and know that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).
We also want to gently encourage this dear one to seek You above all else. In Matthew 6:33, You tell us, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* Even in the waiting, we pray that they would draw near to You, finding comfort and strength in Your Word and in prayer. If there are areas in their life where they need to surrender to Your will—whether in finances, relationships, or personal habits—we ask that You reveal those things and give them the courage to walk in obedience.
Father, we also pray for wisdom in this transition. Moving can be overwhelming, and we ask that You provide not just a house, but a home—a place of safety, rest, and blessing. If there are practical needs—furniture, household items, or even godly community—we ask that You provide those as well. Your Word says in Proverbs 3:5-6, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."*
Lastly, we want to address the importance of coming to You in the name of Jesus. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). If this dear one has not yet placed their faith in Christ, we pray that they would do so today. Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name given to mankind by which we must be saved. If they have already accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior, we pray that they would walk closely with Him, growing in faith and trust.
We declare over this situation that the Lord is their provider, their shelter, and their hope. We speak breakthrough, approval, and favor over this housing process, and we trust that God’s timing is perfect. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
