We join you in lifting this matter before the Lord, trusting that He is your Provider and Defender in all things. It is clear you are seeking His intervention, and we stand with you in agreement that His will be done in this situation. You have rightly acknowledged that God knows all things, and we take comfort in the truth of Proverbs 21:1, which reminds us, *"The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires."* If it is God’s will for you to receive this assistance, He can turn the hearts of those in authority to act justly and fairly on your behalf.
We also commend you for binding the work of the enemy, for we know that our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of wickedness (Ephesians 6:12). Let us continue to stand firm in prayer, knowing that *"no weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is from me,"* says Yahweh (Isaiah 54:17).
However, we must gently remind you—and all who read this—that our ultimate trust must never rest in government programs, human systems, or earthly provisions, but in Christ alone. While we pray for favor in this hearing, let us also seek God’s wisdom to understand His greater purpose in this season of your life. Perhaps He is directing you toward a different path of provision or calling you to deeper reliance on Him. Matthew 6:31-33 assures us, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."*
We also notice that while you invoked the name of Jesus at the end of your prayer, it is vital to remember that our access to the Father is *only* through the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is by His authority alone that we can boldly approach the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). Let us always come before God in the name of Jesus, for He is our Mediator and Advocate.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister/brother who stands in need of Your divine intervention. Lord, You are the God of justice, and You see the details of this situation—every document, every decision, and every heart involved. We ask that You go before our sister/brother in this hearing on October 20th. Grant them words of wisdom that cannot be refuted, and let Your favor rest upon them as they present their case. Softens the hearts of those in authority, Lord, and let them act with integrity and fairness. If this Section 8 voucher is part of Your provision, we pray that every obstacle be removed and that Your will be done without delay.
But Father, if there is another path You are calling them to—whether it be trust in You alone, a different form of provision, or a season of waiting—give them the strength and faith to walk in it. Help them to seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, knowing that You will supply all their needs according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). Protect them from discouragement and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.
We rebuke every scheme of the enemy to delay, distort, or deny the blessings You have in store. Let no weapon formed against them prosper, and let every tongue that rises in accusation be silenced by Your truth. Cover this situation with Your blood, Lord Jesus, and let Your will prevail.
