We join with you in lifting up your son before the Lord, seeking His divine favor, grace, and mercy as he prepares for his immigration visa interview on October 22, 2025. The Word of God reminds us that our steps are ordered by the Lord, and He is the one who opens doors that no man can shut. "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11, WEB). We trust that God has a purpose and plan for your son’s life, and we pray that this opportunity aligns with His perfect will.
It is also essential to remember that our confidence is not in the approval of man but in the sovereignty of God. "The king’s heart is in Yahweh’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires" (Proverbs 21:1, WEB). Whether the visa is approved or not, we pray that your son will trust in the Lord’s timing and provision, knowing that God’s ways are higher than our ways (Isaiah 55:9). If this is God’s will, we ask that He would soften the hearts of those conducting the interview and grant favor in their eyes. May your son speak with wisdom, clarity, and honesty, reflecting the character of Christ in all his words and actions.
We also encourage you to pray that this opportunity, if granted, will be used for God’s glory. If your son is moving to further his education, career, or family life, we pray that he will remain rooted in his faith, seeking first God’s Kingdom (Matthew 6:33). May he be a light in whatever place the Lord leads him, sharing the hope of Christ with those around him. If this move is intended to unite him with a future spouse, we pray that it would be a godly union, founded on biblical principles, where both individuals are committed to serving the Lord together in marriage.
Let us also take this moment to remind you that our prayers are most powerful when we come before the Father in the name of Jesus. "There is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12, WEB). It is through Jesus alone that we have access to the throne of grace, and it is in His name that we boldly ask for God’s intervention. If your faith or your son’s faith is not firmly rooted in Christ, we urge you to seek Him first, for apart from Him, we can do nothing (John 15:5).
Heavenly Father, we come before You today in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this son who is preparing for his visa interview. Lord, we ask that You go before him, making his paths straight and granting him favor in the sight of those who will interview him. Fill him with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, so that he may not be anxious but trust fully in You (Philippians 4:6-7). Give him the right words to speak, and let Your wisdom guide his responses. If it is Your will for him to receive this visa, we pray that You would open this door widely, removing any obstacles that stand in his way. But above all, Lord, may Your will be done in his life. Strengthen his faith, and help him to walk in obedience to You, no matter the outcome.
We also pray for his heart, Father. If he does not yet know You as his Lord and Savior, we ask that You would draw him to Yourself. Let this season be one where he seeks You first, understanding that his true citizenship is in heaven (Philippians 3:20). May he find his identity and security in You alone.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or discouragement that may try to creep into his heart. Instead, we declare that Your perfect love casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). Surround him with Your angels, Lord, and let Your presence be his comfort and strength. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus, knowing that You hear us and that You are faithful to answer according to Your will. Amen.
