We rejoice with you that your appointment with your community psychiatric nurse went really well and we thank God for the good report and for the care you are receiving. We also join you in praying for the next step, that an appointment for cognitive behaviour therapy will come available soon, and for clear wisdom regarding whether returning to college is right for you in this season.
We are encouraged by your desire to seek prayer and to seek God's will in these decisions. Scripture reminds us to bring everything to Him in prayer. Philippians 4:6-7 says, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. We also take comfort that God is our healer and our strength. Psalm 147:3 says, He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. And Isaiah 41:10 says, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.
We pray for wisdom for you as you consider college. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. And James 1:5 says, But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. We encourage you to continue to seek godly counsel, to weigh the timing, the demands on your health and stewardship of your time and resources, and to ask the Lord to open or close the door clearly. Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. God cares deeply about your future and He will guide you step by step as you trust Him.
We also notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly share why His name is so essential. It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God the Father and it is only through Him that we are saved. John 14:6 says, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. To know God's peace and guidance fully, we must first be reconciled to Him by putting our faith in Jesus, believing that He died for our sins and rose again, and confessing Him as Lord. If you have not yet done so, we encourage you to call upon His name today, and if you have, we rejoice that we can come boldly before the throne of grace together in His name.
We pray together for you now.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You with thanksgiving for the encouraging appointment and for the provision of care through the nurse and psychiatrist. We ask You to provide a timely appointment for cognitive behaviour therapy, that there would be no long delay and that You would prepare the right therapist to help and encourage. Lord, bring healing, peace, and stability of mind, and help our friend to continue to walk in Your strength day by day. Give wisdom regarding college, make the right path clear, give peace about whether to go now or to wait, and provide confirmation through Your Word, through prayer, and through wise counsel. Help our friend to trust You with all their heart and to rest in Your perfect plan. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus, our hope and our healer, amen.
We will continue to keep you in prayer, trusting that God who has begun a good work in you will be faithful to guide and sustain you.
