We understand that you are going through a challenging time, and we want to assure you that we are here to support you in prayer and encourage you with God's Word. It is wonderful that you are grateful for your health and the health of your family, as gratitude is a powerful antidote to anxiety. The Apostle Paul tells us in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
We commend you for seeking God's help, but we must gently remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" And in Acts 4:12, it is stated, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." We encourage you to place your faith in Jesus Christ, if you have not already, and call upon His name in your prayers.
Regarding your husband's need for a job, we pray that he will seek God's will and guidance. It is crucial that he humbles himself and lets go of his ego, as you mentioned. Proverbs 3:5-6 advises, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." We pray that your husband will open his heart to God's leading and that he will find employment to support your family.
We understand that being the sole financial provider for over ### years has taken a toll on you. It is essential that you cast your anxieties on God, as He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). We encourage you to seek God's peace and joy, which transcends all understanding. Remember that God is your provider, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).
Let us pray together for you and your family:
Heavenly Father, we lift up our sister who is struggling with anxiety and the weight of being the sole provider for her family. We ask that You would grant her Your peace that surpasses all understanding and that You would fill her with Your joy. Lord, we pray that her husband will humble himself before You and seek Your will for his life. Provide him with a job that will allow him to support his family and be the spiritual leader You have called him to be. We ask that You would strengthen their marriage and draw them closer to You and each other. We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking God's face and trusting in His provision. Remember that He is always with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). May God bless you and keep you, and may His face shine upon you and be gracious to you. May He lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace.
