I have heard your prayer and I join my voice with yours before God. You have shared honestly that you are overwhelmed with anxiety and desire confidence, peace of mind, and a respectful and comfortable place to work, and to do well at all your tasks.

Scripture teaches that anxiety can overwhelm the soul like a wave swelling over a small boat, and that it chokes what is good in us. But God promises a peace that is greater than this trouble. I pray that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. This is the peace which Christ Himself gives, not as the world gives, but a peace that keeps you firm even when pressures rise and when you are tempted to be carried away or overwhelmed.

True confidence does not come from having everything in order by our own strength, but from virtue and the fear of God and from holding fast the confidence and rejoicing of hope firm to the end. When we turn to Him and are willing to be helped, He gives many opportunities for salvation and strength. I pray that He will calm the fear and disturbance within you, quiet your anxious thoughts, and give you a steady and cheerful confidence in His care and in the good things to come.

I also pray for your work. May God grant you clarity, wisdom and steadiness to do well at every task set before you. May He provide for you a working environment that is comfortable and marked by great respect for one another, where peace and love with faith may dwell. May those around you show kindness and consideration, and may you be strengthened to show the same to them.

May the Lord who knows your heart and dwells in your thoughts hear you, lift your burden, and grant you peace of mind. May He keep you from being overwhelmed and help you to remain firm in Him. I ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord, who alone is our salvation and our peace. Amen.
