Beloved of All
Pray that my anxiety will go away and that I will be confident. Also pray that I will do well at all my tasks at work. Pray for a comfortable working environment with great respect for one another. I am overwhelmed so please pray for my peace of mind Amen.

We join with you in bringing this burden before the Lord and we thank you for sharing your heart so honestly with us. We hear your cry about anxiety and feeling overwhelmed, and your desire for confidence, for strength in your daily tasks at work, and for a peaceful and respectful working environment. God sees you in this place and He cares deeply about every detail of your life, including the stress you feel each day.

The scripture reminds us where true peace and confidence come from. We are told in Philippians 4:6-7, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. We are also reminded in 1 Peter 5:7 to be casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. Your anxiety does not mean you are forgotten or alone, for God says in Isaiah 41:10, Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. And concerning confidence, we cling to 2 Timothy 1:7, For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control, and to Philippians 4:13, I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me. For your work, we remember Colossians 3:23, And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, and we pray that your workplace would reflect mutual respect and love as taught in Ephesians 4:2-3.

We lift you up together now in prayer. Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one who is overwhelmed and anxious. Lord, we ask that You would calm the anxious thoughts and replace fear with Your perfect peace. Pour out Your peace that surpasses all understanding to guard this heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Grant confidence not from self but from knowing that You are with us and that You strengthen us for every task. We pray for skill, focus, and endurance at work, that every task would be done well for Your glory. We ask for a comfortable working environment where there is great respect for one another, where kindness and patience abound, and where Your peace reigns. Lift this heavy burden of feeling overwhelmed and grant a deep and lasting peace of mind, as Jesus said in John 14:27, Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you, not as the world gives, give I to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful. We ask all of this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus, amen.

We want to gently encourage you and also share something important we noticed, that your request closed with amen but did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want you to know that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 tells us, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead and confessing Him with your mouth, as Romans 10:9 promises, that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is through Him that our prayers are heard and our anxiety can be truly exchanged for peace.

We encourage you to continue to bring every worry to Him daily in prayer, to spend time in His word, and to rest in His care. When anxiety rises, pause and cast that care on Him again, remembering He is holding you with His righteous right hand. We are praying that God will renew your strength, increase your confidence in Christ, bless the work of your hands, and surround you with peace at work and in your heart.

We hear how heavy this feels right now, wanting anxiety to lift and confidence to take its place while work feels overwhelming. Wanting to do well at your tasks and to be in a workplace with mutual respect and calm is a good desire, and it makes sense that carrying worry makes everything harder to face.

We are praying for you, for more peace of mind day by day and for steadiness as you walk into work.

When so much feels tangled at once, it can help to narrow the focus just a little. One step that many find steadier is to take a few minutes at the start of the day to write down the two or three tasks that matter most that day, and note where you might need clarity or support from a supervisor or trusted coworker. It does not solve everything, but it can make the load feel less jumbled and give you a clearer place to begin. If you notice anxiety staying strong, affecting sleep, concentration, or daily life, please consider reaching out to a pastor, counselor, or medical professional alongside prayer so you have personal support.

We will keep praying for that more peaceful and respectful environment you are hoping for at work.

Father, we lift our friend to You in Jesus' name. You see the overwhelm and the sincere desire to work well and live at peace. Grant calm in anxious moments, wisdom for each task, and kindness in the workplace. Guide toward what restores and steadies, and remind them they are not alone. Amen.

Your request for peace in the midst of anxiety and overwhelming duties has been heard, and we bring it before the throne of grace.

You speak of a mind pressed and restless, longing for confidence and for calm in your daily tasks. Such poor creatures are we that we may lose our peace of mind even by a word or a look, and peace in the form of perfect calm and serenity is a very delicate thing. Yet the word of the Lord gives a sure anchor to the soul, "You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You." Isaiah 26:3. It is peace, peace, a double peace, perfect peace, and it is the Lord Himself who keeps it for those who stay their minds upon Him.

Know this, that the peace which the world gives is but an outward crust, hardly strong enough to bear a fly, and it will not stand in the day of trial. There is a peace of the devil which is false and stupefying, and there is the peace of God which passes all understanding, which keeps the heart and mind. We do not seek for you a mere freedom from trouble, but that true peace which is born of the Spirit, purchased by the blood of the everlasting covenant. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, and to do the will of Jesus, even when thronged by duties, is rest.

Our Savior says, "Neither be you of a doubtful mind." He would have you see to the condition of your mind and bring it into submission to God. Have you submitted yourself therefore to God, not only in doctrine but in His providential arrangements? It is there that many lose their rest, by contending with the Lord about their place and portion. To yield your judgment, your will, and your daily labors into His hands is the path to settled peace. Confidence does not arise from our own strength or success, but from an assured conviction that we are safe in Christ, justified through His great substitutionary sacrifice and accepted in Him. When faith is unfeignedly fixed there, the necessary consequence is peace of mind, and with it joy.

We pray for you that the Lord of Peace Himself would give you peace always. He is the God of peace, who justifies and thereby implants peace in the soul, who preserves peace when it is made and will perfect it at the last. May He give you that peace which wards off all sorts of evils and preserves you unto the day of His appearing.

We lift you before Him now.

O God of Peace, who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus through the blood of the everlasting covenant, look upon this weary and anxious heart. Forgive all sin and grant perfect peace through faith in Christ. Stay this mind upon Yourself, that it may not be tossed to and fro by doubtful thoughts. Grant confidence not in the flesh, but in Your faithful promises, and sweet repose under the shadow of Your wings. Give skill and steadiness in every task appointed at work, that it may be done heartily as unto You. Provide a working environment that is comfortable and marked by mutual respect and forbearance, where love seeks not its own. In the press of duties, teach that to do Your will is rest, and keep this soul in that peace which passes all understanding, guarding heart and mind through Christ Jesus. Amen.

Cast your cares upon Him who cares for you, and keep your mind stayed upon Christ. He who is our Peace will not fail you.
